Fairytale characters have arrived in Lalaloopsy Land!

Cinder Slippers is hosting Lalaloopsy Land's first-ever fairytale ball, and she insists there is only one way to do it: fancy food, elegant music, perfect manners, and dazzling dresses. When it comes time for the ball, Cinder is surprised that no one is having any fun. Scarlet Riding Hood explains that it's because everyone is afraid of doing something wrong. Scarlet suggests that the party would be more fun if everyone could just be themselves. In the end, it's not the ball Cinder imagined, but everyone's having a great time--even Cinder!

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Kristen Klotz
Join Cinder Slippers and her friends Curls ‘N’ Locks, Tuffet Miss Muffet, Coral Sea Shells, and Snowy Fairest as they plan a Lalaloopsy Grand Ball! As Cinder Slippers begins planning, she realizes that her friends do not know what throwing a ball entails. She decides to help her friends by giving them rules for the ball. The first rule is that everyone must wear fancy clothes and the second rule is that the girls must curtsey and the boys must bow. The third rule is that everyone must arrive at seven o’clock. Cinder’s friends feel so much pressure to make sure they behaved correctly at the ball that they decide to not even attend. Cinder Slippers solves this problem: she sends a note to each of her friends and calls off all the rules! She encourages her friends to be themselves instead. This is a great coming-of-age tale about Cinder’s journey maturity. Both young boys and girls will enjoy reading this story and making connections to their own experiences. The theme in this book will start many conversations about social and emotional development. Children who already love the dolls from the Lalaloopsy collection will be eager to read this book! Part of the “Lalaloopsy” series. Reviewer: Kristen Klotz; Ages 4 to 8.
