Until Asher Morgan came along, nineteen-year old Ember's life had always been about death. Being around Asher, though, and being able to be near him and touch him, changed her and made her feel alive for the very first time. But now he's gone and she's left dealing with her seclusion again, the emptiness of not being able to be touched, and the curse of the Grim Angel.

As a battle breaks out between Angels and Reapers, she desperately searches for answers about who she is, where she came from, and what she needs to stop the battle. But things get complicated when Cameron returns to her life and begins messing with her thoughts and emotions.

Ember tries to hold onto her sanity while the line between life and death begins to blur. Lives are threatened. Murder is everywhere. She needs to figure out what's real, what's an illusion, and who she really has feelings for before it's too late.

I really enjoyed Cinder X - I am looking forward to book 3. My only complaint is that the book was too short (but I think all great books are too short). Ember is learning a great deal in this book and while it seems easy to choose good over evil - don't we all have a little of both in us? Cameron isn't all evil and Asher needs to answer all of Ember's questions. While this book revealed some key things (like how Cameron and Asher know each other) - I'm looking forward to more revelations in book 3! Keep up the great books Mrs. Sorenson! *I did overlook grammatical errors - sometimes a story is so interesting that certain mistakes do not seem to matter.

This book is a great way to lose yourself for a couple hours and enter a world where good and evil are not so black and white. This series is a great teen fantasy story with plenty of romance and thrills to turn a boring night into a battle of good verses evil.

3.5 stars I really love the story line but feel like its being drag out too much. Hopefully the next book won't be the same.
