Meet the Author

I write fantasy, often with a nod to folk and fairy tales, myths and legends. I trained in anthropology and I work in the environmental field, so some of that creeps in too. And sometimes I write YA and sometimes I don't.I grew up in Africa, Malaysia and England but I now live in the tropical north of Australia. The Great Barrier Reef lies just offshore and world heritage rainforests are on my doorstep. I love exploring it all with my family, especially in our little wooden sailing boat.

About 28 pages on my Nook, great start for this author, I loved the mythological aspect of the story, I just wish it would have been longer, it had a great magical concept

I am generally disappointed in short stories but this one was great! It's maybe more for teens but was a good quick read for a smoke break.

Interesting story, good moral...but gross. Didn't really like it, or any of the characters. Oh, well.

Don't know what the ppurpose is for kids taking the review boxes and meeting up, chatting, cussing and just being stupid. They don't even read the books just post crap that they could use yahoo for or aol or whatever but not a damn review box for these books. I spend money for books and sure don't want to see their crap when i post a serious review. I am complaining to barnes and noble and seriously checking out the competition ereaders. These devices are registered under someone name(like a parent) with a credit card. B&n needs to fix this problem. If i was an author and wanted to check reviews i would be highly po'd. Peopple need to complain and parents need to police the readers they give their kids. I am just fed up and tired of seeing it
