WARNING. HOT DIMITRI MARKOV. MAY CAUSE BURNS.

    LOCATION/SETTING:
Lia's story continues and it takes place in London initially. However, there were parts in the book where the characters travel to neighboring places, the final destination being Avebury. In Avebury, Lia hopes to ends the prophecy.

    MAIN CHARACTERS:
Lia is still the center of the story. However, in this book, Lia is not quite the same. The book presents her darker side. Here, she is alienating herself from her friends, has serious trust issues, and is a little bit on the wild side, sometimes to Dimitri's enjoyment. There is a completely different Lia from the first and second book. But, Dimitri is still the same as in Book 2 - protective and supportive of Lia. Only this time, more romantic and... hornier. It is obvious that he feels so much for Lia, and we see here that he is completely devoted to her. As to Alice, I have to say I am surprised to see her human side - her sisterly side.

    WHAT THE BOOK IS ABOUT:
** spoilers ** The time is ticking, and Lia must find the remaining key. She does, and it happens unexpectedly. The only thing remaining is for Lia to convince Alice to close the gate. Alice declines saying that all her life, she has devoted herself to the cause of the souls and Samael, and then wishes Lia all the luck in the world. Without Alice, Lia will not be able to close the gate. She felt hopeless and can sense already her impending doom. However, she must try close the gate while she is still in full possession and control of her soul. She feels that as time goes by, she will eventually give in to Samael. Hence, Lia's little group travel to Avebury in the attempt to close the gate to Samael, thus ending the prophecy once and for all. All that, and her burgeoning darkness are what is placed on Lia's shoulders in the story. Here, we see that the souls are slowly eating Lia up. Although she is strong, we see her weakness and darkness that we have never seen before in the first two books. It's probably safe to say that she is her own worst enemy. Good thing that Dimitri is by her side; he is the one thing that keeps Lia sane. Their relationship is taken to the next level in this book, both emotionally and physically. ** spoilers end **

    LOVE:
I love how Michelle Zink writes. Her storytelling prowess just amazes me. While reading the series, I was taken to Lia's world by her descriptions. The dialogue fits the time period, but is easy enough for the book to be a quick read. I love Lia and Dimitri's relationship. Although their scenes in this book are mostly fueled by their hormones, I could really feel Dimitri's despair knowing that there is a big possibility that he might lose the one person that he wishes to spend forever with.

    NO LOVE:
I hate that this is the last book in the series. Truly, I am saddened that this series ends with this book. I read it very slowly because I just didn't want to reach the conclusion.

    FAVORITE CHARACTER:
Dimitri. As opposed to all the other YA book boyfriends, Dimitri is mature. I don't really know how old he is (he is probably a few years older than Lia), but to me, he doesn't act like a teenager. He is already man. In this book, I feel that he is indeed serious in wanting to spend the rest of his life with Lia. It's just too bad that Lia is doomed. Nevertheless, he continues to be at her side, being there when Lia needs him, and making the most of what time they have left together.

    Wonderful Conclusion...

Filled from cover to cover in Michelle Zink's lush, descriptive writing, Circle of Fire was a wonderful conclusion to a coveted trilogy. The third, and final, installment in The Prophecy of the Sisters trilogy takes off a few months after Guardian of the Gate left off.

I found myself diving headlong into Zink's Victorian world filled with gorgeous gowns, Masquerade balls, and lurking evil. Lia and Alice are as alike as ever, so much so that Lia feels like she's morphing into her evil twin. On top of that, Alice is trying to wed James - Lia's previous beau, who knows nothing about the Prophecy that taints their lives.

Lia's time is running out and there's still so much that needs to be done. Another key must be found, a mysterious Stone, and of course, Lia must still try to gain Alice onto her side. All impossible tasks, made even harder by the fact that no one can be trusted and Lia is growing weaker with each passing night.

The most memorable aspect of Circle of Fire, and all of Michelle Zink's books (including her upcoming one), is the writing. It's, as I said earlier, lush, descriptive and classy. And then there's the plot - incredibly unique, heartfelt, and action packed.

If you haven't started this series, all I can say is, what are you waiting for? And if you've read the first two and you're hesitant to pick this up, you should. Circle of Fire is the perfect conclusion we've all been waiting for.

It is a great epic conclusion!!

I loved all the romance and all the twists. It had a conclusion that was happy... yet sad because one sister will die a sad death. It got me crying how much people missed her. I love the twists... espesally with the romance and the ending.

    6 out of 5 stars!

    5 Stars.
    Hands down.
In fact I need a new rating system so that I can make this 6 stars.

Wow. Let me start off by saying that I was rendered speechless for a good ten to fifteen minutes after finishing this. Considering this is me, author, writers, public speaker, person who loves to be social and can almost always find the words she needs to say or type... that says something. I am still in shock. Luckily, now I am able to voice more about it... or well, type. If I was trying to talk I might be stuttering right now.

Lets start by saying that I really admire Michelle Zink. Her writing style is so beautiful and fluid that you feel like you aren't reading a novel, you are being lead through one. I loved Prophecy of the Sisters and Guardian of the Gate! Knowing this was a trilogy I had mixed emotions about reading Circle of Fire. I never like when a series ends. It can bring a series together and make it something even more beautifully profound or dig a grave for it and mean I am donating my copy to the library. This novel was beautifully profound and made this series unforgettable for me.

It wove a tragic yet beautiful tale into something so breath taking you have to pause every once in a while and just let yourself enjoy the moment. Savoring the way that the novel takes you over and lets you see the journey of these two sisters who have had their lives torn in two by their own destinies. I read because I love to read and find it entertaining, this novel was more than that. You don't just enjoy the story, you feel like you are a part of it and have to keep reading because Lia's fate is mixed with your own.

Overall, unforgettable and a series I have a feeling I will re-read often in the future.
I can hardly wait to see what Michelle Zink comes up with next. After this series I have faith that whatever she publishes next will be a wonderful read. I can hardly wait to enjoy A Temptation of Angels March 20, 2012!

    Amazing book!

I don't normally add animated pictures to my reviews, but when I started this book and got hooked in it, it only seem fitting that I show what I felt. Not only was I gasping for my dear life with all the surprises she is throwing at me, but I was like...

    WHAAAAAATTTT!

Seriously? I mean really! I was sitting there on my couch relaxing as I read this amazing story and them BAM! Out of now where Ms. Zink made my jaw drop! Ms. Zink is one amazing writer and very talented! One thing I enjoyed about this book is the great plot line. Usually with the final book, I see how authors struggle to tie lose ends and most of the time I am not satisfied with the last book.

Ms. Zink, left me satisfied. Ms. Zink made me not want to finish the book. Ms. Zink wrote the best ending to an amazing trilogy that for days I could not get it out of my head. Yes. I loved it that much.

Everything combined, the characters, the plot, the redemption, is what I long for in a book. This people, is what I live to read. An amazing, thought out, great book that leaves me happy. This book is the BOMB DIGGITY!

Look, just take my word and read this book. Read the whole trilogy! Ms. Zink writes beautifully, captures the readers and ensalves them with the world she created, bringing it forth to my eyes. Very satisfying book, The Circle of Fire is one great book!

I read the first book in a day and then when the second one came out, I read that in about two days. This series has yet to disappoint me and I hope that Circle of Fire will not fail me! I love how Lia is determined and ready to end the prophecy.
