One of the best books I read as a child

I was so overjoyed when I found this book. I received this book in a program called RIF when I was in grammar school. I'm now a mother of two in my early thirties and I still love this book. I could relate to this character on so many levels. The fact that she had so much responsibility and never feeling loved enough is a universal feeling. I loved the fact that even though she felt her mother didn't love her, she still wanted to do something to make her mother smile again. I loved the relationship between Maddie and her best friend Tony. I would recommend this book to be shared between moms and daughters. Children don't always understand what adults go through or how adults grieve. This book touches upon so many emotions that it is a DEFINITE must have in your home library.

    great book

The Circle of Gold is a good book to read. It is about a 10-year old girl named Mattie who try's to cope with the loss of her father and her mixed feelings for her mother who is under pressure to support her family. Mattie and her brother are struggling to live through the struggles of their every day lives.

I think that this book is a good book to read for many reasons. This book is very inspirational for readers. Many people who dislike reading will enjoy reading this book. This type of book will also help readers understand every one's point of view in this book. The Circle of Gold can also those who have been through that type of situation.

Mattie and her disapointed mother, Mrs.Beason

I think the circle of gold was a good book because mattie had feel like her mother didn't want her around. And she thought that her mother was only treating her twin brother matt. And that kind of made me feel as about that.
