From Barnes & Noble
The Barnes & Noble Review
The market value of CISSP certification soared this year, again. To earn yours, you must pass one brutal exam: six hours of tough questions on everything from networking to operations, cryptography to law, access control to disaster recovery. One study tool’s up to the challenge: CISSP All-in-One Certification Exam Guide, Third Edition.

Author Shon Harris has earned raves as an instructor at weeklong CISSP boot camps. She’s just systematically updated her review guide: If you thought previous editions were thorough, wait ’til you see this one. There’s new or beefed-up coverage of everything from security models to wireless networks, physical security to encryption, even rootkits.

This book’s replete with practical examples -- and 1,000 sample questions. Best of all, Shon Harris shares exceptional real-world insight, much of it gleaned from her years on the U.S. Air Force’s Information Warfare team. Bill Camarda, from the December 2005 Read Only

    Too much additional information

I passed the CISSP with the use of the 2nd edition and it was right on the money. I've also read this book and it's full of additional material that is not required for the test. My advice is: be aware of the stuff that's in this edition and use it as a general reference, but study for the test with the 2nd edition. Besides, its used and cheaper. Either way, the Shon Harris book is the best guide you can use. I passed first try with no problem.
