One of the must reads in SF

This new edition of CITY features the final CITY story 'Epilog' and Simak's 1976 foreword, making this the first complete edition of CITY. And it's printed on quality paper, sewn binding - making it a book that will last longer than you! Winner of the International Fantasy Award (the same award won by Tolkien) CITY tells the story of the probably mythical human race, stories as told by the dogs around their campfires. Here's what others say: 'When I began to read SF, my idea of it was formed by Asimov and Heinlein, my idea of what it ought to be by Sturgeon and Clifford Simak. The first has changed, the second has not. You will never get read CITY as lonely kid devouring the latest issue of Astounding. This is the next best thing.' - - Gene Wolfe ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 'Simak's novels are gripping, humane, and always unpredictable. He was one of our very best. Ever.' - - Jack McDevitt ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 'Clifford Simak was one of the finest writers to ever grace science fiction; there has never been another voice quite like his. CITY and WAY STATION are two of his best novels; if you haven't read them, now is a perfect opportunity.' - - Allen Steele ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 'What brought me to SF was SF itself. The first authors I read who actually MOVED me were Ray Bradbury and Clifford Simak, SF great mid-century romantics.' - - Terry Bisson ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 'I couldn't help but notice the simplicity and directness of the writing - the utter clarity of it. I made up my mind to imitate it, and I labored over the years to make my writing simpler, clearer, more uncluttered, to present my scenes on a bare stage.' - Isaac Asimov

One of the Greatest SciFi Novels!

A collection of masterfully written tales spanning generations of one family. Throughout time they teach a dog to talk, which helps when the dogs take over the world, they have a robot who ends up being the companion of the dogs when all of the people migrate or die off, and they end up changing the course of history forever. It's very futuristic and is a true work of science fiction genius. It is one of the best novels that I've ever read. It is also complete with notes on each story so that you don't get confused or lose yourself in the plot.
