Yamashita Pier site area is located south of famous and popular Yamashita Park and has been proceeded to redevelop as an Integrated Resort Casino by Yokohama City Hall. However, many local citizens opposed especially to casino, so that it seems any move on hold for now. Yamashita Pier is good location for any purpose even for residence. After this, I will explain abstracts of Yamashita Pier Redevelopment Basic Plan released on 14 September 2015 by Yokohama City Hall, which will be referred to as “The Plan” after here, in Part 1 and then I will suggest my design in Part 2 as of Mar 2021.
