“Where have you taken me?” Scarlett demanded.
After they’d grabbed her, they had blindfolded her and made her lie on the seat of the car.
They’d veered through city streets, traffic noises streaming past her as she pressed against the carpeted floor of the car floor and silently counted the minutes in her head.
Now she was blinking as her eyes readjusted to the light, sitting on the couch in a living room that was decorated in a spare, masculine style.
The walls were brick, the flooring was wooden plank. The windows were covered with heavy black panels of fabric. The couch she sat on was black leather and steel.
And the two men were still watching her with that same hungry expression, ready to pounce, to devour her.
Jasper was the taller of the two, with black spiky hair and a face that would grace any GQ Magazine. He was lean and muscular, with luscious lips that Scarlett found herself wanting to sink her teeth into.
His friend Rafael was brown-haired, also muscular, broader, and more solid. The hungry look on his face told her that he was undressing her with his eyes…and imagining what he’d do to her next.
“I’ve taken you back to my apartment. That’s all that you need to know,” Jasper said. Rafael just smiled.
Scarlett looked around suspiciously. “So this is it? You’ve got a pretty small coven,” she said. “Are you like a social outcast vampire? You’ve got an army of one?”
To her surprise, Jasper threw his head back and laughed. Rafael joined him.
“Our meal is brave. And she’s got a sense of humor. I like her,” Jasper said to Rafael.
“Hello, your meal is sitting right here. I can hear you perfectly fine,” Scarlett snapped.
Jasper ran his hand gently across her face, then down to her peasant-style blouse, and over her full breasts.
Her nipples were hard, swollen, pressing against the sheer cotton fabric.
His finger slipped below the neckline of the blouse, ran over her nipple. “No bra. I like that.”
