    A heated paranormal romantic suspense fantasy

    Millenia ago long before the Sumerians existed, werewolves, dragons, vampires, witches, a rebellions demon tribe and the Sidhe fought against the demon and were evenly matched until the witches betrayed their cause by changing sides and allying with the demons. All the supernatural species in the battle died except the leaders of each species who pledged their lives and allegiance to the warrior and sexual goddess Inanna. They became her mark, giving them powers and become known as the Shadow Guardians who guard the portals so the demons don't enter this world and those that do are forcibly thrown back to their own realm.

    The apprentice witch Sybil brought a Book of Shadows at a sale only to find out it contained demonic magic that entered her body. The Shadow Guardian Kenrick the alpha werewolf explains what happened especially since she asked for help of Inanna to get the demon magic out of her. Her plea makes her a Shadow Guardian as she now wears the mark of Inanna Part of the ritual is sex with each of the five Guardians who test her trust worthiness; she passes the exam, but Kenrick is the one she desires and he wants her as his mate. However, the betrayal though so many millennia ago still lingers in his bone marrow and he distrusts her.

    This heated paranormal romantic suspense starring five alpha males and one female who has sex with each of them and in all sorts of combinations . Obviously sex rules the story line as Sybil bewitches four of her teammates while the one she loves who claims her as his expects her to deceive them. Although the libido to the nth power makes the supernatural seem real while dominating the somewhat thin story line, fans who relish the heat will want to read this romantic urban fantasy.

    A great book to read

    Kenric is one of five Shadow Guardians that protect the human world from the supernatural world.

    Sybil is a witch that has never been allowed to advance beyond apprentice witch. Checking out an estate sale Sybil stumbles across what she thinks is a grimoire that might be able to help her with her magic. And after she cuts her finger on it she decides she should buy it since she has bled on it. When she gets it home things start going very wrong very fast. The book takes on a life of its own and she is not sure how to stop it. Just as she thinks she is done for a giant wolf breaks down her apartment door. Now it is looking like things just went from bad to worse.

    Kenric, a wolf shape shifter, was betrayed by witches in the past so he has no use for them nor does he trust them. This time he doesn't have a choice but to help Sybil out since she called on the goddess, Inanna for help and the goddess has chosen to grant it. Now Kenric is going to have to deal with a witch and protect her from the grimoire that is more than just a book. By reading the grimoire Sybil accidentally opens a demon gate and will have to learn how to close it fast.

    What Sybil doesn't know is that her coven has been waiting for this day and they have no intention of closing the gate since it will give them the power that they crave. They have plans that they have been waiting for a very long time to put into motion and now that Sybil has accidentally set things into motion, the coven is determined to make sure that the end result they envision is going to happen and nothing is going to stop them, least of all Sybil. But Sybil has learned a few things from the guardians that just might be able to stop her coven once and for all.


    This is a very scorching hot story that is very hard to put down. With all the twist and turns this one takes you never know what is going to happen and you are never disappointed with where this story goes too next. It is fun to see Sybil learn how to use the power she has acquired and as she finds her way in a world she never dreamed was real. The story line is very fast paced which makes the reading very easy. You hate to get to the end even though you hate to put the book down so you get to the end faster.

    Love it!

    I love Charlene Teglia. She gets right down to the nitty gritty and I love a book that makes you squirm for more!! This book is not for the faint of heart as most of her books arent. If are looking for a "romance" novel then this is not the one for you. But if you are looking for something erotic, imaginitive, and sexy as hell then this is a book for you! (This book is labeled as Erotica not Romance..Go back to Harlequinn or Silohueete if you cant handle the heat!)

    this was a very good erotic book if you are into menage you will love this read although one review said it shouldnt be in the romance section(and I almost didnt buy the book) it should. I think if they would have read the whole novel they would have got it. it was rushed in some spots but it was an awesome story I love most of this authors books its a must read but not for the faint at heart !!!!

    Terrible Writing!

    While I enjoy fantasy/romance novels this was a huge disappointment that I wasted money on. I have never read a Charlene Teglia book before and never will again. The entire book was once sex scene after another with very little plot to substantiate it. Her suspense scenes happened so fast and were resolved even faster you barely noticed they exisited. Her writing leaves much to be desired and it shocks me that a book that barely has any scenes with poor writing could even get published. It give me great hope to get my on books published if crap like this can get published.

    one of her best yet

    I've read all of this author's stuff- including her ebooks and this is one of her best yet. Pretty steamy stuff without being corny. I like the main character. It's got a pretty interesting story line but it's kinda odd how there's a lot of build-up and then a very quick resolution. The male characters she uses seem pretty hot. ;)

    hard core porn, not a romance novel

    Claimed by the Wolf is packaged like a paranormal romance. However, it reads more like Hustler magazine. The heroine has hard core sex with multiple partners/beasts. That's fine if that's what you're into but it would be nice if you understood what it was before you bought it. I did not finish it and I hope underage readers are not purchasing this book.
