Overview

Claimed sucked me in! Stacey Kennedy weaves together the intense BDSM lifestyle with the soft touch of a sweeter, more traditional love story in a novel with an engaging heroine at its heart.”—J. Kenner, New York Times bestselling author of Release Me

USA TODAY BESTSELLER

A novel of erotic discovery and forbidden desire that goes beyond Fifty Shades of Grey.

Presley Flynn is ripe to experience her secret fantasies . . . and Dmitri Pratt wants nothing more than to fulfill them. Once inside the elite Club Sin in Las Vegas, Presley is nervous but excited—and determined to surrender to her every desire. Dmitri is her Master, and his touch is like fire. With each careful, calculated caress, he unleashes her wildest inhibitions, giving her unimagined pleasure.

Presley is different than the other submissives Dmitri has mastered. The BDSM lifestyle is new to her, and so are the games they play at Club Sin. From the start, Presley stirs emotions in Dmitri far beyond the raw purity between a dom and the perfect sub. For the ecstasy they share goes beyond the dungeon, igniting a passion that claims the very depths of the heart.

Claimed is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

    Just OK

This book just did not do it for me. I have read quite a few books about BDSM relationships lately, and I am a big fan of other series that also focus on BDSM clubs (like Roni Loren's). But I found it hard to connect with the heroine in this book. There is a difference between being a sexual submissive and not having a backbone outside the bedroom. Some of the club scenes were not particularly original, not even enjoyable, especially the 'punishment' scenes, which were more about making her embarrased, thud playing with her mind rather than with her body to achieve pleasure. And this was upsetting, because humiliation was one of her hard limits. For a lifestyle that is based on well defined rules, I thought there were too many blurred lines between what was considered pushing the sub's soft limits and manipulating her into accepting her hard limits. In the end, I felt as if the Dom was brainwashing her into what he liked rather that what she liked. It sent the wrong message. On top of that, the end felt rushed, it was quite cold emotionally, and not too original. I honestly skimmed through many parts of the book. Not a book I can recommend whole-heartedly.

    OMG

    250+ pgs.
I did not want this book to end. I laughed, cried and needed an ice pack ( because this book is HOT).

I will be buying more in this series just as soon as they are published.

My applause: A true story not just sex scenes but a fully developed storyline.Excellent writing, amazing story, wonderfully intriguing characters. My only complaints: more, more, more pages in this story (I didn't want to leave it) and the rest of the series NOW!!!!

Claimed is the first book in a new series by Stacey Kennedy call

Claimed is the first book in a new series by Stacey Kennedy called Club Sin. I adore getting in on the ground floor of a great new series, I love to tell people all about the great new stuff coming out. This is a great new series :O)

Presley followed her boyfriend to Las Vegas only to find out he is a cheating scumbag, she is able to move in with a friend and loses herself in book after book of BDSM erotic romance. Her room mate, Cora, who lives the lifestyle discovers her friends reading preference and takes her to meet Master Dmitri. Will shy, innocent Presley be able to make the jump from her fantasies to the reality of Club Sin.

Ms. Kennedy does a fantastic job of creating characters that you can understand and relate to but also building a sensual and sexually tension filled story for the lives of the characters to play out. Ms. Kennedy also does a great job at explaining part of the BDSM lifestyle such as the difference and the importance of hard and soft limits, safewords and even the difference between a bedroom/dungeon Dom and a full time Master/slave relationship.

This story has tons of sexual tension, some smokin' hot BDSM scenes and two people who should be so different they don't match but find they have more in common than they know. Throw in a sassy fun room mate, 4 other sexy Dom's and a loser ex boyfriend and you have this great read that starts a series I will be following as they come out.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

I liked this book to a point. The heroine was too weak and humiliation was one of her hard limits and she was definitely humiliated. She should have remined angry when she was touched and he tried to justify it. If it wasn't for her weakness I would have given this a 5. The story was very good otherwise.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  Presley had just ended a long term relationship with a man who cheated on her and could not fulfill all of her needs.  Always eager to please, her friend Cora believes she could be a submissive and introduces her to Club Sin, a BDSM club that Cora belongs to.  There, Presley meets Master Dmitri.  Although she is an innocent to the lifestyle and inexperienced sexually, Dmitri agrees to let her explore and train her as a sub.  Although unsure, Dmitri gains her trust quickly.  As her training continues, they spend time outside the dungeon and discover a friendship that only reinforces their trust in the dungeon.  As Presley learns of Dmitri's past, she offers him a compassion and comfort that he has never felt before.  In a short time, this trust, friendship and compassion turn to love.  I hope that this is the first of a series and look forward to further stories from Club Sin.

In terms of erotica & heat, this book was wonderful. I say this although I don't share kinks with the characters. Frankly, the sex was
written with so much passion that it was easy to get caught up in, regardless of whether I'd ever want to partake of those activities.

I was drawn in immediately by the sexual tension & how fun the dialogue was. Intelligence & humor were everywhere. Also, the main
character was so easy to relate to in many ways & was very likable.

This book was had surprising depth of emotion & intelligence. I loved the intimacy & the insightful psychological aspects dealt with.
The main characters were so observant. They really listened, saw & cared about each other. When they opened up & shared, they
helped each other grow, embrace who they really were as well as who they needed to be.

I loved how the D/s lifestyle was expressed in a new way. It was shown as a tool to explore yourself, your relationships & your world. It
was also used as an outlet to channel needs that may interfere with or hold you back in other areas of your life. That insight was very
    interesting & even educational.

Communication was stressed & observed in a fresh new way, as well. I loved how Dmitri insisted that he be told of any issues rather
than being snapped at, glared at, etc. I realized how in life, people tend to hold back their feelings/thoughts. Instead, they'll act in ways
that are not helpful to themselves or others.

How often do you actually learn something useful & important (other than maybe some sexual techniques) from a book that's primarily
erotica? This book was a cut above the rest. I actually feel like this book will help me in life.

I recommend this book to open-minded, intelligent people.

Another interesting book read. Each time I read erotica I understand it more. However, it's getting a bit old that everyone is gorgeous and/or a billionaire. Just once it would be good to read a HEA BDSM story about a regular couple who live and follow the Lifestyle. That said, I liked the story. Stacey had a nice smooth flow between the scenes. She has also created characters who you believe in. Give this book a chance. It draws you into it's pages and doesn't let go.

When Claimed released, I read a lot of good reviews and promptly

When Claimed released, I read a lot of good reviews and promptly bought a copy. Me being me, I hadn't gotten around to reading it, and when Bared came up for review, I found the perfect opportunity to go in for a two-fer. WIN.

I'm so glad I did because I really enjoyed Claimed. I went into the story expecting a hot story filled with sexy kinkery. And yeah, that did happen, but I was surprised by what I found amidst that: an interesting, thoughtful and really loving story about two people who find exactly what they need.

So what about Claimed made it different? In a lot of BDSM-D/s stories, we have a wealthy arrogant man in pursuit of a shy woman he is convinced is truly submissive, only she doesn't realize that. And then he spends the entire story convincing her of that fact. And that's fine, but what I loved about Claimed is that Presley actively pursues the lifestyle on her own. She comes to the Club of her own accord. She must convince Dmitri that she belongs at Club Sin. Once they enter the Club, he's the boss, but the entire relationship is on her terms. I loved that Presley was the one to decide that she was a submissive. Dmitri may have been the Master, but she truly held all the power.

Beyond that, Claimed is just a really good love story. I really like Kennedy's portrayal of the lifestyle, that the Masters don't want control over the Subs entire lives, that it is all about respect. And of course, Presley and Dmitri fall in love. It was super seductive and super romantic. Claimed has me very excited about the Club Sin series.

    Favorite Quote:

The journey with Presley hadn't been forced but had come down to the beautiful rawness between a Dom and a submissive. Presley offered her submission and heart to him in the simplest form she could, by showing him with her body, and right now, in this moment, the force of it stunned him.

** spoiler alert ** I'm not usually a huge fan of BDSM, but I enjoyed Claimed by Stacey Kennedy. It is heavy on the BDSM aspect, so don't go in expecting light sexual situations. It had just the right amount for me. I do have some hesitations about the next book in the series though. My hesitations come from some of the other characters being more hardcore then the main characters in this book. If they are the next main characters it may get to be too much. The reason for that is I don't enjoy multiple partner sex scenes or sleeping with multiple people in a book, but that's just my preference. Other readers may enjoy those type of scenes. I'm willing to give it a try though, since I enjoyed this book. All in all it was a good BDSM book, it was kind of like a rule book for BDSM
