Rana is a healer from the Daughter of Isis. She has come to the Jackals to help them fight a curse. While trying her best to find a cure for the curse that was placed on them, she falls in love with Hector. Bitter from losing his father, and almost his brother, Hector is falling hard for Rana, but at the same time does NOT trust the Daughters of Isis because of his violent past with them. Will Rana be able to share her secret with Hector and get the man she cannot stop thinking about, or will he walk away?

Ms. Glass has once again proved her skill, and extreme talent for pulling you into the story, leaving you excited to get to the next page. Her writing style leaves you with a complete picture of the book and the characters, and you feel as if you are right there with them. Claiming of the Jackal is another book that is not to be missed, so put it on top of your TBR list.

    Quick, Sensual Paranormal Romance

The latest in Glass' Egyptian-themed paranormal romances is well-written, with terrific characters and great world-building. Rana and Hector have real chemistry, and it's nice to read a paranormal romance in which the author does her homework.

My only complaints are that the story is a bit repetitive in places (I did not need to be told Rana's origins four times), and the final action sequence could have been fleshed out with a lot more detail.

Those complaints aside, I recommend "Claiming the Jackal" and the other books in the series to anyone looking for a Pagan-friendly romance, or fans of Joey Hill or Erzabet Bishop. -- lyradora
