This book I started reading for a school project but once i started it, right in the first chapter it was so fascinating, and as suprising as it is this book kept my attention the whole way. I started it and finished it in one sitting. What I like most about this book though is it tells the story of the childhood of this amazingly talented but unexpectedly bashful little girl, then in the end it tells about the amazing thing she has done, founding the American Red Cross. The first chapter is about how this little girl is talking to her father a Captain of a group of soldiers he's telling a story and tells her that he wished she could have been there with him and the last chapter she helps in wars as her living. Its what she does and its what she was meant to do. All through out this book this remarkable girl only cares for everyone but herself and she is a great romodel. I suggest this book for readers of all types.

I really liked this book.It teaches you so much.I learned a lot about Clara.I never knew that much about her until I read this book.
