It had parts which were definitely believable and others which were just plain fun; life and work in a huge cylindrical satellite and a visit by 'The Living Elvis'. The parallel plot lines were well developed, and there was considerable depth where you might least expect it. This is NOT a 'predictable' fiction. Reminiscent of Heinlein's _The Moon is a Harsh Mistress_, and yet with a similar feel to Gibson's _Neuromancer_, it's funny and yet it's real. From the images it conjures, one can build the whole 'feel' of life in such a place ...and long for it.
