Overview

A gripping insider's look at the post-9/11 CIA

In the weeks following the attacks of 9/11, the Central Intelligence Agency received over 150,000 résumés from people wanting to serve their nation. T. J. Waters became one of more than a hundred students admitted into the CIA's Clandestine Service to become Class 11, the first post- 9/11 training class. Filled with more information about the CIA's Clandestine Service Training Program than has ever been allowed into the public domain, Waters takes readers behind closed doors, where the trainees learned methods of subterfuge, mastering disguises, how to withstand interrogations, and how to cross into hostile territory undetected, and provides a moving portrait of ordinary Americans with the courage and determination to go to any lengths to protect their country.

    Not the best cia memoir

This book had some good stuff on training but the author is so full of himself it is hard to get through. It appears that his motivation to join was to write a book and not serve the agency. I would like to know why he never went on any international assignments and left the agency after only a few years. There are much better cia books out there dont waste your money on this one.

If you ever wondered what went on behind closed doors...

I am not a big book reader, but this book had me reading it in almost every spare moment trying to get more and more info out of it. I have always been intrigued with the CIA and the fact that there is an "insider" type book about the "training"; it's hard for me to put in to words...

Get it, get it, get it!

From the time I got this book and cracked open the front cover I could not put it down! It's a fabulous insider look into the daily details of the life of a CIA officer. T. J. Waters needs to write more books like this if there's anything at all left to tell! He's does a magnificent job; a must read book.
