It was a 82 nook pages, filled with sweet love an a little funny to put a smile on your face. Brooke is a fourth grade teacher and has her class do a project of writing an active military person who is stationed over seas, for they are learning about world geography. Her package containing her class' 24 letters finds itself on SPC Ethan's bunk. As the months go on Brooke and Ethan become good friends an the class is really into Ethan too. Then Brooke and Ethan start having stronger feelings for each other.... It is a very sweet story, one I really enjoyed.****

I received this copy as an ARC in exchange for my review and oh my, what a wonderful feel good story it was! Although this is a novella you get a great sense of the characters and their love story just as if it were a full length novel. Brooke is a 4th grader teacher who decides this year's project will be for the class to write to a solider and learn while exchanging letters. Ethan is a solider stationed in Afghanistan serving his country. She is looking for a pen pal for her students and he is looking for something to help ease the loneliness while overseas. As they exchange letters/gifts Brooke and Ethan begin to fall for each other. I love how you get to watch them grow closer with each correspondence and the kids letters are such sweet touch to the story. Circumstances cause them to temporary lose touch with each other but I love how Brooke takes the imitative to find Ethan rather than sit around waiting for him (got to love a female character that goes after what she wants). Definitely worth the read, can't for the next in the "letters of love" series.

Class of Love is the first novella in a series of three. The story starts out with a class project. Brooke, a fourth grade teacher, decides to incorporate all subject areas into a class project centered around being pen pals with a soldier. Ethan, a mechanic who specializes in repairing Apache helicopters, is the lucky soldier who receives the packet of letters. At first, Ethan didn't want to write notes to all the kids and teacher. Then he starts looking forward to receiving and answering all the kid's questions. He especially enjoys private letters to Brooke. With about three months left in his tour, Ethan and his friend are sent to maintain Apaches closer to the front lines. While there, Ethan is injured. Not wanting to burden Brooke with his recovery, he breaks off all communication with her. Ethan's buddy finds Brooke and let's her know what has happened. Brooke wants to be by Ethan's side, but isn't sure she'll be welcomed.....Will they get their HEA? I absolutely LOVED this story! I've never read anything like this and truly enjoyed it. It made me want to be pen pals with a soldier, just to give him the hope that Brooke and her students gave Ethan. He had no family to speak of and nobody sending him pictures or goodies. It's refreshing to see students engaged in learning! Loved it and can't wait to read the next one. I read a gifted copy and all opinions expressed are my own.

Class of Love by Maryann Jordan......What a wonderful heartfelt story. Brooke is a teacher of a 4th grade class and she has the students do a class project of writing letters to soldiers and Ethan reads the letters. This story will touch your hearts and keep you flipping pages. I loved watching this story unfold for Brooke and Ethan can these two fall in love without ever meeting? Maryann Jordan has quickly become one of my favorite authors. This is one book you will want to read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of this book.

What a sweet and thoughtful story and a great introduction to a very conscientious author. Brooke is a 4th grade teacher who has engaged her students in a special project. That being, sending letters from the class to a soldier serving overseas. Ethan ,whose only family is an indifferent Dad, never gets mail. So when his buddy brings a packet address to just a soldier, he opens it and finds Brooke’s class letters. He is intrigued and from then on, he, Brooke and the class become penpals. And let’s not overlook, a budding attraction between Brooke and Ethan develops. The sensitive portrayal by both Brooke and Ethan towards themselves and the children was very touching. He was always concerned about the children, and always gave his letters a spin. Thrown into all of this, is the reality of the trials, dangers, and realities of war. Through it all, the author maintains a positive outlook on life and serving the country. A well written story about life and love. An author I will now add to my list of favorites. I was gifted this book. The opinions expressed are solely why own.

This was such a sweet story. I have read a lot of military stories and most of them are after the guy has gotten out of the military. This story was different in the respect that Ethan and Brooke meet through letters. Brooke's 4th grade class sends a box of letters to soldiers over seas. Ethan is the soldier who receives the letters and as time goes by starts to look forward to the letters. When Brooke and Ethan see pictures of each other, they are drawn to each other. They start to email and skype. As Ethan's time in the service comes to an end will they be able to give this relationship a shot in the real world? This story was short, but it gave me so much. The story was good and the characters were great characters. I'd love to see more of Brooke and Ethan as their relationship plays out in the real world.
