I can't understand how the editors of "Classic American Speeches" failed to include Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream Speech." Any objective person of any political orientation would have to regard that as one of the Top 10 speeches in American history, if not the top five. Failing to include it is a grave oversight. Otherwise this is an excellent reference.

This is a great collection of some of America's best speeches. There are some for liberals and some for conservatives so no matter what your political persuasion is you will love it. Unless you are very narrow-minded and get annoyed by anyone who slightly disagrees with you, you will love this book. It has something for everyone! Keith Murray

I have no problem rating this product as excellent. It makes a fantastic addition to any library. Beautiful cover, but the real treasure is inside. Whoever complied this did an excellent job. It contains some of the most important speeches in American history, including Lincoln's "Gettysburg Address" and FDR's declaration of war on Japan.

I am sincerely annoyed that they included a speech by Barack Obama in this selection of speeches, much less printed his name on the back of the book. Disgusting. I'll buy it to complete my collection, but I am very disappointed.
