Meet the Author

John Hanley is a nationally renowned sports artist. In 2002 he was nominated for the Sports Artist of the Year by the U.S. Sports Art Museum. His portfolio includes Super Bowl program art, lithographs of Denver's Mile High Stadium and Wrigley Field, commemorative prints for Super Bowl I, Gale Sayers, Ernie Banks, Hank Aaron, and other NFL, MLB, and NBA greats.

Chris De Luca has covered Chicago baseball for the Sun-Times for eleven years, first as a White Sox beat reporter and later as national baseball columnist. He has also worked with the Sacramento Bee, Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, and the San Diego Union.
