Charles Haddon Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892) was a British Particular Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers". Spurgeon was to 19th century England what D. L Moody was to America. Although Spurgeon never attended theological school, by the age of twenty-one he was the most popular preacher in London.

A strong figure in the Reformed Baptist tradition, defending the Church in agreement with the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith understanding, and opposing the liberal and pragmatic theological tendencies in the Church of his day, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times each week at different places. Spurgeon was the pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel (later the Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years, despite the fact he was part of several controversies with the Baptist Union of Great Britain and later had to leave the denomination. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally, and he also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him posthumously.

Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works, including sermons, an autobiography, commentaries, books on prayer, devotionals, magazines, poetry, hymns and more.

This edition of Spurgeon’s The Christian – A Debtor is specially formatted with a Table of Contents and is illustrated with over a dozen pictures of Spurgeon.

Spurgeon is at the top level on all the subjects he has written on. In comparrison to our 20th & 21st I would liken him to Billy Grahm, David Jerimiah, Charles Swindall, the late W.A. Chriswell and D.L. Moody.

Love this book so far, but the navigation is frustrating. After page 3 pages must be entered manually, and some pages appear to be missing. I have a Nook HD. Anyone else having this problem?

Percy:
Thieves Guild. Tousled brown hair, blue eyes. Cool and confident under pressure and still able to joke even though he's a little beat up at the moment. Caught breaking into the Vallehart mansion because he attempted it blindfolded. His line, "I almost made it too." And he really almost did. (Post in Sunrise, not Shadows. He's in prison.)
Winter: Thieves Guild. Cropped, silvery blond hair, ice blue eyes. Tough and sarcastic but caring. Mess with her though and you'll end up seriously injured. Working an a jailbreak for Percy.
Gingersnap:
Coyote. (East side faction) Curly ginger hair, expressive hazel eyes. Fun-loving, energetic, outgoing, hilarious, and the youngest faction member. Used to being the youngest with two older brothers though. Somewhat tempramenal and very opinionated, though her opinions are easily changed.
Jace:
Light reddish brown hair, expressive hazel eyes. Gingersnap's brother and the middle kid of the family. Dependable and easy going for the most part. He and his older brother Cody aren't currently on the best terms.
Aiden:
Coyote. Brown hair, brown eyes. Very average looking and very glad of that fact. Gingersnap teasingly calls him a ninja master but that is unnervingly accurate.
Rocket:
Quickilver. (West side faction.) Spiked black hair, dark eyes. Funny, fearless, and a reckless daredevil. Most girls that meet him instantly fall in love with him. He has decided there is only one girl for him though. Ironically, the one girl who couldn't care less. Angel.
Angel
Quicksilver. Honey blond hair, blue eyes. Smart, beautiful and very quick on her feet. Once offered a place in the Thieves Guild, which she refused. She does actually like Rocket, but after ignoring him for so long she doesn't know how to admit it without loosing her pride.
Cody
Quicksilver. Unruly ginger hair, expressive hazel eyes. The oldest of three. Definately a loner. He isn't really on the best terms with his siblings right now.

Meanwhile with Seashanty... Seashanty crawled at a slow pace, weak from hunger and exhaustion. She had been searching for three days. Pausing to take a nap, she curled up in a tree. She woke up to se another cat (who looked just like her except in color!) pouncing on a crunchy leaf pile. The cat began to dig through the leaves, stopping when she reached her goal. It was Crossedflame! His wound had obviously not been treated, and was festering in the sunlight. "So, Crossedflame, we meet at last." the she hissed, but when she saw he was confused she said "Let me explain." (Next chapter will be a backstory told by red shecat!)
