Classic by Terri Clark is a wonderful tribute to all the previous artists honored on this CD and all those she had to leave off the list. Terri Clark is an artist whom herself will be held in the highest regards as the one's she is holding in high regards by honoring them with this CD. Hopefullly she will decide to follow up with additional CD's in the near future. If you have ever had the honor of seeing Terri preform with or without her band who can only walk away feeling that you have been to a concert that was heartwarming and intense. Terri gives all she has into her music and only gets better with each show. You feel like she's dong the concert for you as if you are the only one in the venue. That can't be an easy task to do by no means, but it does give you a great feeling and the desire to find out when she'll be here again. Thank you Terri for all your hard work and sharing your great talent to everyone. You will always be the best performer to me and I will always remember and cherish the times I was honored to meet you.

It goes without saying that TC is one of the best female vocalists of all time...for me, comparing only to the rich, velvety voice of the late, great Karen Carpenter. "Classic" in my opinion, is the best album TC has ever released. Her rockin version of Loretta Lynn's Don't Come Home A Drinkin and her raw, gutsy down and dirty version of Merle Haggards Swingin Doors are the best cuts on the album. She has shown her talent for arranging these "classic" songs that die hard country music fans have grown up listening to in a way that makes them her own while keeping them right on track with the original cuts. She unsurprisingly impressed me with this album, and once again, delivered to her fans. I honestly think she deserves an award for this project, and I sincerely hope that we see a "Classics Volume 2" very soon. If you weren't a TC fan, just listen to this album and you'll be hooked forever!! As a true fan from the beginning of her career and a forever fan from now on, I can say this album is most definitely her best. TC, thank you for sharing your talents with all of us and you really are a SUPERSTAR!!!!!!!!

All Music Guide - Thom Jurek
There's a wonderful, plaintive voice singing Kitty Wells' "The White Circle on My Finger," that eerily opens Terri Clark's Classic. That segues into Clark and band ripping into a barroom-stomping read of Wells' "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels." That uncredited voice at the beginning belongs to Clark's grandmother, who sang country songs to her as a child. Classic is Clark's tribute to country music's illustrious heritage. Documented here are some of the songs and artists who inspired her to follow a path that has had its share of highs and lows commercially and personally, but which has always been satisfying aesthetically. Co-produced with Jeff Jones, Clark's ...
