I rented this textbook for the nookstudy. Chapters 12 and 13 were not included due to copyright issues. I called the number listed to call for this issue, where it says that they will correct the issue and the person who took our call said they could not help us it is a publisher issue, and all they can do is refund our money and remove the book from our nook. Nowhere in the product details does it list that chapters 12 and 13 are missing. Now I have an assignment due Friday and I’ve been trying to get this chapter loaded since Monday only to find out they will not fix the issue. This is something that should have been noted in the details. I will never order a nook textbook again. The customer service was horrible, and the agent was extremely rude. I may just cut out barnes and noble all together and stick with Kindle.
The information contained in the book is very good information on Public Administration and I applaud the authors for their work; however, the book is not an easy read. It was entirely too wordy and failed to get right to the point on various topics. As an MPA student in a working adult program it's important that information be concise and to the point. I have another textbook by another author that contains most of the same information minus some of the historical aspects of Public Administration, which was a much better read. I would recommend the book for full time students; for part time students it's just no conducive. An increase in the font size would help as well, the print is rather small.
