Classical purists will shriek when they hear Schubert with a drum machine beat, but Classics Regrooved isn't totally without respect for the music, and sometimes it's pretty clever. Smartest of them all is Skylab 2000, who offer a playful "Für Elise" and a fun "Hungarian Dance No. 5." Mojo Jones has his quirky way with Debussy's "Arabesque," but too often it's just the melody you know with a slamming beat. The Mojo Jones and Skylab 2000 tracks tower over everything else, but that's more inspiration than you usually get on these types of collections.
