Mr. D'Amato ... one of my favorite teachers yet ... back in 8th grade over 8 years ago ... something like that. I am buying this book as a gift for my boyfriend (a new to be science teacher). Nothing better than tips from the best!

    A great re-read in August

This book is like a bunch of sticky notes, each with a great idea that you can pull out at any time and use. It's a wonderful reference tool and reminder for new and seasoned teachers alike. Every idea works!

I enjoyed the book very much. The author illustrated how he runs his classroom in a creative and effective way. I think teachers who become frustrated with their students should read this book and learn fun ways to run their classrooms. O.N.

Amusing and Inspirational Book for Teachers!

What sets 'The Classroom' apart from other educational books is its practicality. Most teaching books in today's market are too theoretical and leave readers with maybe one or two abstract ideas they might be able to use with their students some day. D'Amato's book is unique because it is based on the realities of the classroom. If you are looking for new strategies on discipline, management, or methodology, this book delivers. 'The Classroom' also contains a plethora of cooperative learning activities and brain teasers. If you are a teacher who is looking to upgrade your repertoire, then look no further. Take advantage of the author's insight into teaching and surprise your students with some of his proven techniques.

    Excellent Book

This book provides the reader with many innovative and useful methods to reach the students. To often teachers just teach from the textbook and do look beyond the text. The Classroom is a prefect 'how to' book as which will show teachers ways they can excite students about learning and thinking. If every teacher read this book and applied those principles to their classroom teachings, the education system in America would be vastly improved.

    My cousin is great!!!

Okay, I may be a little biased because Mr. D'Amato is my cousin on my mothers side. His mother and mine are sisters. But even if he wasn't my cousin I 'd still have to say the book is excellent and worth the read. I'm not a teacher and I enjoyed it imensely. The book is definatly for everyone even those who may not be in education.

    I love turtle soup!

I read this book in 4 hours and 23 minutes and 7 seconds. That was the 7th time I read it. Thats why I timed myself. I loved the life lessons and brain teasers. It was flippin sweet. I've had this teacher for 4 years straight. I was in his 7th grade 3 times and his 8th grade class 1 year. But all 4 years i learned something new. I recomend this book to anyone who would like a good read.

    GREAT BOOK

Wow.....I don't know where to begin with this book. It's very good and had plenty of well-thought teaching strategies. If you'r a teacher, this is a great addition to your collection.
