    Excellent choice for beginning teachers

This valuable resource is a must for beginning teachers. It has many valuable time savers, practical ideas, and sound advice. Wish I had had it earlier in the year. I'll use often next year. Highly recommend it to student teachers or any new teachers.

    Best Practices for all teachers

Easy to read with many bulleted points, this book is helpful to first-year teachers as well as those who have been teaching for longer. I find that every now and then I need to look at something new to re-energize myself for better planning and more effective teaching. This book does that. It offers best practices in behavior management, time management, lesson planning, effective teaching, and assessment. It also contains helpful lists of professional organizations, professional journals, computer software sources, and instructional materials suppliers. While other authors spend so much time focusing on procedures, this author gives you helpful procedural information but focuses on explaining how you can build relationships with students and make learning an active endeavor. He even encourages you to smile while you're doing it.

    Great Resource

I enjoyed this book very much. It will be a great resource in the classroom. However, the author review says it comes in a big spiral bound book and it is paper back. I will still use it in the class
