Lily Faust’s world became a nightmare the day she was kidnapped by a vampire. Six months later, she’s been freed…by were-cougars. For Lily, this is the epitome of ‘frying pan to fire’ and for the Russell clan, it’s trouble in a terrified human package.

Ellis Russell wants nothing more than to soothe Lily’s fears and become her friend. But when tension – and passion – flares between them, Ellis has to decide: can he love a human if loving her means letting her go?

Or can he ever let her go?

    more from this reviewer

This is a short sweet PNR that takes place in the world of Jessi

This is a short sweet PNR that takes place in the world of Jessica Sims Midnight Liaisons but has nothing to do with the dating service.  It can be read as a standalone but it is better if you have at least read Must Love Fangs (Midnight Liaisons #3).
All Lily wanted was a life what she got was six months of hell when her internet date turned out to be a vampire who kidnapped her.  Now she has been rescued sort of.  She is no longer captive to the psycho vampire but now she is being held captive by the werecougars who rescued her.
Sexy werecougar Ellis can’t help but falling for Lily but now he has to convince her that she isn’t a captive but has captured his heart.  A sweet sexy win from Jessica Sims.

    Wonderful

I loved reading Lily's story. This whole series just gets better with each added story.

    Can't get enough!

Seriously! I just can't read enough Midnight Liaisons! Please, please continue with the series! Excited about the new release coming out at the end of the month. Waiting is always the hard part.

Favorite part of the series is the shifters and the romance among them. The protectiveness and the animal possessiveness is very sexy. Each new character just adds to the previous books. I've always liked the stories where the group still stays together. I dislike the books where once you fall in love with the characters the writer dumps them in the next book, of that series, completely. I have absolutely nothing but praise for Midnight Liaisons.

    This needs some editing.

This is a short story around 88 pages in length. It isn't Jessica Sims best work. In fact I have read every other story/novel in this series as well as other works by the author under her other two pen names, and this one is by far the WORST. There are glaring inconsistenies with the story and plot choices that just seem inappropriate. The narrative switches from first person to third person and back again (p.22 for instance). I will likely still read other works by the author and hope that better editing is done with them.
