Clay is a man of few human talents. As a wolf, he hunts well and can fight off a grizzly twice his size, but has no aspirations. The idea of a Mate isn't something he has ever seriously entertained. Dreamed about, maybe, but he knows the chances are nearly non-existent.

Then he meets Gabby, a human girl. She hates him at first sight, yet he can't let her go. Who he was is no longer important. Now, who he needs to become to win her over is the only thing that matters.

I don't normally write reviews, but I could not pass this up. I was giggling so much reading this in the breakroom at lunch, my coworkers kept coming in and asking me what I was reading. There was just no way to explain how the story of a voluntarily mute werewolf desperately trying to win over his human love was so hysterically funny. I almost lost it at the trip to the vet's office. In Hope(less), you saw Gabby's side of it, but here, you are privy to all Clay's thoughts and feelings - which sometimes were 180 degrees off from what Gabby thought his responses implied. I loved it when Gabby would ask him something, then start analyzing the deep, philosophical meaning of his response; in Clay's Hope, you would see his real response was, "Huh?" or "What did she mean by that?" Half the fun of the book was 'hearing' Clay figure out "man-stuff" that he previously had absolutely no clue about. If you fell in love with Clay and Gabby (or even just Clay) in Hope(less) you will be delighted and totally entertained by Clay's Hope.

This was a highly anticipated book for me, and it did not disappoint!! Clay's Hope tells the story of the book Hope(less) from Clay's POV. If you have read Hope(less) then you know what goes on with Clay and Gabby. Clay's Hope is not just a repeat of Hope(less), but a new perspective and a deepening of the love story between the two. It was a wonderfully written book. Many times I was surprised by what Clay was thinking; it was not what I had expected at all! This book has added many layers to Clay's personality and has made me fall even more in love with Gabby and Clay. You need to read this book!!

Clay's Hope was everything I wanted in a change of POV book. I got so much more out of the story by experiencing it from Clay's POV! I adored Hope(less), thought it was fresh, unique and very intriguing! The Judgement of the Six series gets better and better with every installment and I have to say that Clay's Hope only adds to the overall story! I had no idea it was even possible, but it also makes you fall in love with Clay even more than you already had after reading Hope(less)! If you haven't read Hope(less) this may be a little bit of a spoiler, but Clay doesn't talk to Gabby for most of the book and so being able to get into his head is really, really exciting! This isn't just a retelling because you have no idea what is going on with Clay during the entire book, you get to guess and presume things just like Gabby does when she is with the man of few words. So in Clay's book you actually get to know the motivating factors behind all his actions (hint hint it's all about Gabby *swoon*). You find out what is going on as well as his struggles of trying to be a man for the first time in his life, and although he isn't comfortable outside of his fur, he knows that a human girl like Gabby is worth it! Clay is surprising hilarious, inventive, and resourceful. He also is compassionate, emotional and full of love. It is a journey for both Clay and the reader to discover that he never expected to find those qualities within himself. Clay is nothing less than dedicated and willing to step outside of his comfort zone to be with the one he is fated with. This companion book has done nothing but fuel my desires to get a POV book from each mate in the Jot6 series! It was so well done, that I barely thought I was reading a story I already knew & loved! I don't even want to tell you how sad I was when the book ended that I thought I was missing pages in my arc, it just couldn't be over, I wanted it to keep going, to know more, to watch Clay and Gabby continue their lives together. I cannot recommend this amazing and unique take on werewolf lure, the Judgement of the Six series is a gem, and now that we are starting to get the alternate POV's I am nothing but more obsessed!

Absolutely Amazing... Clay’s Hope is masterfully written as a companion to Hope(less) (from The Judgement of Six series). Written from Clay’s POV, this book is almost a different story. Layered with Clay’s thoughts and emotions, we finally get to see what is hidden since he doesn’t actually speak to Gabby until the very end of the book. It is such an enjoyable read, and it flows beautifully. Haag expertly weaves this story into the Hope(less) storyline, yet never feels repetitive. As the story unfolds, we see that Clay has a beautiful heart, a pure love, and the patience of a saint. He is an absolutely loveable character and absolutely swoon-worthy. This is an endearing story, and Haag is an amazing storyteller. Definitely 5 stars.

I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Clay's Hope is the same story as from Hope(less), the first book in Judgement Series), but this time it's told by Clay. After reading Hope(less) I couldn't imagine that this book will be different. Just a recap. I was a bit sceptical, as Clay is not really talkative... and I was afraid that it will be just description of the events... How wrong I was! Clay's Hope is a beautiful story of a man, who was not looking for love, but was hoping deep down that he will find the one and only. How shocked he was, when he met her during Introduction to other potential mates. His panicked mode made him to come with this genius plan to not talk to Gabby, his mate. I laughed so hard at that. But the story is beautiful. It shows how the slow progression between Gabby and him in their relationship was difficult and heart breaking was for him. During many occasions he thought that she was giving up, and he was closing up even more, because he was afraid that he will start beginning her to stay with. Even all the torment and situations, where he was so scared of losing Gabby, he is also really funny. He can laugh and be quite mean. Haha the scene with his first laundry? OMG...I cried so hard from laugh :D Loved this book. Amazing 5 stars.

I absolutely loved reading this from Clays point of view. It did make me laugh when I could finally see what Clay was really thinking and sometimes it was so far off from what Gabby was thinking he was thinking! Would very much recommend this book.

I was provided a free ARC in exchange for an honest review. Clay's Hope is basically Hope(less) from the point of view of Clay. I was very excited to get my hands on this because I was dying to know what was going on with Clay's emotions. He wasn't able to talk in Hope(less) until the end of it which was both intriguing but frustrating too. After reading Clay's Hope, I have absolutely fallen in love with Clay. I think it is safe to say that there was no way for us to ever anticipate the awesomeness of him until actually getting into his head. He is funny, smart, and very passionate. Overall, I loved this book! Take my advice, you definitely want to have more of Clay.

I just loved this Book. Hope(Less) was my Favorite book of Judgement of the Six Series. Now this book is. I loved to hear Clay's part of the story since he was silent throughout the book in Hope(Less). This book doesn't disappoint. He's funny and thoughtful. Hearing his part of their story clears thing up as to what was going on with him while Gabby was off doing her own thing. If you loved Hope(less) you will LOVE this book. I highly recommend this book.

Recommend reading Gabby's book first and then reading this one close to finishing that book. I probably read Gabby's book over a year ago and a lot of info was missing without having Hopeless fresh in my mind. I really enjoyed reading this companion book though since Clay doesn't speak until the last 3 pages or so.

"Hope(less)" is the first book of the series "Judgement of the Six" & this book is from the male character's (Clay) point of view. This series is awesome, I've re-read the whole series "Judgement of the Six" three times now, can't wait for the last in the series to come out! I have all the books from Melissa Haag, & have re-read nearly all of them. Love the way Melissa Haag writes. Will be buying all of her books as they release.

Good story. Would have liked a little more background on how the mating match up worked. But over all was a good read.

Its different from your usual wolf and human mating. A different storyline. She has something special about her but she doesnt know what it is or means. Her mate just wants to be with her even as his doggie self. Its a fun relationship. We never find out whats special about the few humans who can mate with wolves. Doesnt seem like anyone knows. She is determined to find out. Which i guess leads to a book series. I wont be buying the rest, since i read it because it was free. It didnt catch my intrest THAT much, but maybe you will continue it!

I liked this book, although it ended with a cliffhanger.
