You might say that Clean Food began as a class project. Let author/teacher Terry Walters explains: "I had been teaching cooking classes for eight years and for every class I would develop five new vegan recipes. People started asking for recipes from classes they missed and regulars were compiling folders of my recipes. It wasn't long before people were asking for a cookbook." When that request was filled, Terry delivered an eco-friendly cookbook not only nearly bursting with over 200 recipes arranged by season, but also providing a savvy guide to making the right choices for a fresh, seasonal, sustainable diet. (P.S. This newly revised and updated edition features all-new color photographs, gluten-free variations, and 20 new recipes.)

I've owned and loved this book for a couple of years, so much so that I did not hesitate to buy the new, expanded edition. This is the best book I've found to set out a roadmap for people who want to incorporate into their lives preparing their own healthy foods. Not at all preachy. Many of the previous recipes have been modified to swap out processed ingredients for less processed ones. The new recipes all look great.
I've liked all the recipes I've made so far. They are delicious, easy to make, and she uses natural products such as coconut oil which I already had in my kitchen. I plan to continue to make more of her recipes and embrace the "clean eating" approach to cooking with only natural products. This is a great cookbook and I would recommend it to others who want to prepare foods that are wholesome, nutritious, and attractive too.
