Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Christine Cassello
This title from the "Helping Hands" series is designed to show children what they can do to help around the house by doing some chores. In the book the child helps collect dirty clothes and put them in the washing machine and hang them on a line to dry. When they are dry the children match up socks and help to fold the laundry. While mother irons, the child uses a toy iron. Then they put the clothes in the drawers of the chests. They pick up their toys and put them in their toy box and dust furniture. They help do dishes and separate garbage for recycling. The children wash the sink and rinse the bathtub, dust up crumbs and mop the floor. The children are happy to be big enough to help out at home. The book is a Winner of Practical Pre-School Silver Award 2009. Reviewer: Christine Cassello
