    Love It

Talk about clean! I love having just these natural products in the house to do everything you could possibly want and more. My laundry is brighter and fresher. Cleaning the sink, shower and toilet are a breeze! Who knew? I now have answers to questions I never knew I had.

    Natural and more effective cleaning!

I have bought copies for all of my friends and co-workers. Michael De Jong writes in a down-to-earth, surprisingly inspiring way to illustrate easy and interesting methods to use the five essential Zen-Cleansing ingredients: baking soda, borax, lemon, salt, and white vinegar to clean pretty much anything in your home. Cleaning my bathroom is now a religious experience. I feel so happy to ditch the noxious chemicals and go for a more peaceful, more natural mindset for cleaning my home environment. Eye-opening, witty, and appropriate for anyone who cleans anything!

Easy to Follow and Fun to Read

I am just not interested in shopping or cleaning. So how wonderful this book was to read and learn that I had everything except the borax in my house already. The index in the beginning of the book is perfect. The concept of not poisoning my family or the environment is worth the effort to experiment. My kitchen floor looks better than it ever has. This book is great.

Who ever thought cleaning could be so much fun!

Considering this a book all about eco-minded cleaning, it was also a joy to read. Almost everyone has baking soda, a lemon, and some vinegar around to make these non-toxic concoctions. De Jong has a good sense of humor and quick reference charts for his cleaning recipes. The book is so cute and small it will fit in your cleaning caddy.

    A reviewer

This book has helped me eliminate all commercial cleaning products from my home, many of which were highly toxic to humans and animals (we have five pets). My home is now a safer place. Thanks to Michael deJong for his wonderful book!

    Insightful and Well-Indexed

I recently picked up 'Clean' and am excited to own a book that provides eco-friendly techniques I can bring to my bathroom, living room, etc. DeJong's wit and delightful storytelling stay with me when I wipe away all that schtuff caked in tile corners. With this little book in hand, I no longer dread cleaning the house. Highly Recommended!

    Clean!

This new Elffers book is a hit again! Love power and although this is something completely different the tone and subject is perfect for this time. I believe in this cleaning method, have even had difficulty washing my hands with chemical soap!

A virtual bible for anyone with chemical sensitivities...

This is such a great reference book for anyone with chemical sensitivities, or looking for a few easy changes to be more eco friendly. I am very sensitive to bleach and chemicals, and have been using green cleaning products for years. When I got this book I was amazed to learn how easy (and cheap) it is to make your own, with excellent results. And take it from a household with two dogs, the drain opener works incredibly well!

Found My Spick & Span Center

I found this wonderful, funny little book about cleaning--a chore I hate! The philosophy behind the elbow grease is what got to me most--if I have to clean, I want to do it without poisoning myself, my family, my pets, neighbors and the planet. The recipes using his 5 basic ingredients are easy--especially because I had four of the five at home already. I cleaned out from under my kitchen sink and threw away all of the store-bought, toxic products that were a big deterent to my ever wanting to clean. This book is great, and I feel I am doing something bigger than just cleaning when I use the 'Clean' recipes!
