Overview

Meet Patrick Cleary: party boy, loser, and spaz. Patrick’s been trying desperately to transform himself, and the results have been so spectacular, they’ve almost killed him. Meet Wes “Whiskey” Keenan: he’s a field biologist wondering if it’s time to settle down. When the worst day of Patrick’s life ends with Whiskey saving it, Patrick and Whiskey find themselves sharing company and an impossibly small berth on the world’s tackiest houseboat.

Patrick needs to get his life together—and Whiskey wants to help—but Patrick is not entirely convinced it’s doable. He’s pretty sure he’s a freak of nature. But Whiskey, who works with real freaks of nature, thinks all Patrick needs is a little help to see the absolute beauty inside his spastic self, and Whiskey is all about volunteering. Between anomalous frogs, a homicidal ex-boyfriend, and Patrick’s own hangups, Whiskey’s going to need all of his patience and Patrick’s going to need to find the best of himself before these two men ever see clear water.

    Great read

Very entertaining characters - unique and fun! The story was intriguing and the sub plot did not end how I expected. A lot of story, great sex - a very pleasurable read.

    Shadowkit, Copperkit, Galaxykit, and Memorykit!!

The four kits snuck out of camp, heading for the forest. They glance over their shoulders worriedly, untill they come to a wide clearing. Suddenly, stars seemed to swirl down before them, taking the shape of cats...

The bronze-furred tabby tom watched, scared, as the stars seemed to rain down from the night skies. Cats began to appear, light shining on their fur and stars sprinkling their silver paws. "They're StarClan cats!" the young tomkit though worriedly, shivering as his amber gaze met that of a fallen warrior's. She was a very pale brown shecat, her brown fur dusted with tan and silver, and her eyes a gentle amber.
"Hello Copperkit," she meowed, her voice sweet and gentle. "My name is Flower, though I am called Flowerbreeze by the Clan cats, and Flower That Flies On The Breeze by the Tribe cats. I have been sent to guide you." Copperkit dipped his head, embarressed and scared at the same time. "Guide me?" he stammered. Flower nodded, and sadness shone in her amber eyes. "Every cat has a good side, and a dark side. I will help and encourage your light side, but another cat will encourage your evil side. His name is Darkrage." Before them shone the image of a black tom, his fur patched with a dark bloodred color, and his eyes were a murky yellow.
"He will try to lead you to the Dark Forest," Flower murmured, and Darkrage vanished. "I'm..I'm not going there," the golden tabby stammered. Flower smiled, then meowed, "I will be with you when you need me." And then she vanished. -Copperkit
The silver-flecked tom gazed in astonishment as a dark stormy gray tom appeared before him. His fur was short and spiked in some places, and his pelt was spotted with patches of black and white. "I'm Jolt," the tom said in a gruff voice. "Also known as Joltwhisker or Jolt of Storming Lightning." "I'm Galaxykit," the young tom stammered. Jolt rolled his dark blue eyes and said, "Don't you think I probally already know that? Anyways, I'm your new light-cat, or whatever. I'm going to help you."
Galaxykit froze, his dislike of Jolt growing. "Help me with what?" he asked. "Fight your dark side, or course!" the gray tom hissed, and a dark brown tom appeared before them. His fur was riddled with scars, and he looked evil. "That's Scarflight. Don't listen to him. He's evil," Jolt growled, and the black kit nodded. -Galaxykit
The dark gray shecat saw a pale blue tom appear before her, his pelt was flecked with white and his eyes were a sky blue.
"I'm Claw," the tom said. "Or Clawstorm, or Claw of Raging Sea. You can choose what you want to call me. Anyways, I'm here to help you." A dark gray shecat appeared before them, her shaded fur bristling and icy blue eyes glinting. "That's Shadedice," Claw meowed. "I'm going to help you fight her." Shadowkit nodded, and he disapeared. -Shadowkit
The black and white shecat saw a pale ginger shecat with gray patches padd over to her. "I'm Cinder," she meowed. "Or Cinderflame, or Cinder That Glows Forever. I'm going to help you, or try to." Cinder smiled sadly. "Shadowgash himself has choosen you, just as he choose your mother." A dark tom appeared, but quickly vanished. "You're going to have to fight him," Cinder meowed. Memorykit then saw her vanish, along with all the other starry cats. -Memorykit

The four kits were left along in the clearing, but they weren't entirely alone...

    Cloudstar

She nodded again, and took a large leap at a tree. She grabbed a mouthful of cobweb in her moth and spat it out, daubing it on her wounds.
