    I agree!

Still a great book. And better than the last two that didn't feel like they were a completed story.

But the first books had more of a "nicer" Joe and were always a complete story. It feels like he is changing Joes character into a set up a kill is ok versus a self defense kill.

His other series isn't that great because he had the good guy doing the same thing. Being a good guy but setting up an outright killing.

I am hoping he isn't turning this series into that one. It loses some of its appeal with that change.

I have eagerly bought each one but find myself on the fence wondering about the next one. The last 3 have been a little disappointing.

    Concerned

Clearwater Predator is just as good as all the rest but also too short. I do have a concern though. At the end there are the words 'The End'. These are not on the last page of any of the others. Does this mean the end of the story or the end of the series? I'm hoping just the end of the story but I'm afraid it isn't. Please ease my mind.
