K-Gr 2-It's moving day and Cleo opens one eye and yawns. The orange-striped cat, Caspar the dog, and their family are moving to another house nearby. Not only does their new home have a big yard with lots to see and smell, but it even has a tree house. The bold, acrylic illustrations have an underlying red tone that adds a level of texture and depth to the paintings. This warm, loosely rhyming story features large print and minimal text on full-bleed pages, and presents moving in a safe and comforting light. It could be used to ease anxiety about the experience or as a short read-aloud.-Genevieve Gallagher, Orange County Public Library, VA Copyright 2002 Cahners Business Information.
