Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
There really is not much to this board book. Fans of Clifford may be a bit disappointed as there is no real story, just statements about Clifford caring. He is shown stopping traffic while his family crosses the street. He helps paint a neighbors' house and because of his size he can reach the upper story without a ladder, but Emily Elizabeth needs to use an umbrella to keep the paint off her head. In the next scene they are shown putting out food for the birds, squirrels, cat, and puppy. It is the same picture that appears on the title page. The last spread shows Clifford being hugged by all his friends and family. A marginal purchase. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
