Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Kathy Leggett
Clifford the big red dog has been on many adventures since he was first created by Norman Bridwell in 1963. Generations of children have listened as he finds himself in all kinds of predicaments because of his size. He is taller than Emily Elizabeth's house and as red as the fire engine that is often found coming to the rescue. In this adventure Clifford is off to Washington D.C. with Emily Elizabeth and his friend Riley. He visits the monuments, helps out at a protest march, and even jumps the fence at the White House to meet the first lady. The secret service are none too happy about his visit but when all is explained, Clifford gets a hug and makes his visit to the nation's capital the best day ever. Clifford lovers will not be disappointed by this newest adventure. Early listeners will laugh out loud at Clifford's antics and see first hand the problems that might arise if you are a big red dog. This would be a fun addition to a classroom or personal library. Reviewer: Kathy Leggett
