Everyone's favorite red dog has hit 40, and this awesome deluxe anniversary edition makes him bigger and better than ever!
As millions of fans are well aware, this is Emily Elizabeth's description of why Clifford, "the biggest, reddest dog" on her street, is the best dog ever. Clifford likes to play games ("he makes mistakes sometimes") including hide-and-seek, does tricks, and protects the house like no other dog could. Of course, Emily knows that Clifford "has some bad habits," too, like catching cars, chasing cats (well, lions), and digging huge holes. But when all is said and done, we all know, just like Emily, that Clifford is just the doggone greatest!
This anniversary edition will be a perfect gift for a new generation of readers not already familiar with the original Clifford book. He's a wonderful friend to keep handy for storytime giggles or downtime pick-me-ups, especially with Bridwell's humorous illustrations, which add a big red ton to Emily Elizabeth's reasons for loving her dog. A handsome presentation for an old favorite, this book should have kids howling with happiness. Matt Warner
