    Great for USMLE

This book was pretty good. Key concepts were highlighted very nicely. Some areas were a bit wordy but overall a solid bargin. I ended up using this book again during my Infectious Diseases elective rotation along with Blueprints Infectious Diseases.

    very good to review from

This book was excellent as a study tool for my micro class in med school. The cartoons and simple language was a breath of fresh air compared to some over-complexed textbooks. Another excellent reference was {Microbiology Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers} This book has awesome study questions.

A Helpful Study Companion for my Pharm Class

I was struggling in my Pharm Class with understanding the Antibiotics according to the required text and stumbled across this book while looking for a study aid. Any student studying Microbiology will appreciate the cartoons used to help remember key aspects. This is a very light hearted and easy to read book. I highly recommend it's use as a study aid. There are also great charts that summarize the material for you.

Excellent, easy to read and to remember!

This book makes microbiology (a dry topic for many)not only easy to understand, but even entertaining! At the end of each chapter, you will find tables that contain almost everything you need to know. Read them after each chapter and you will notice how much you learned by just reading, almost effortless!! I strongly recommend it.

If only there were more books like this one...

What can I say? This is the one, the only one. Dr. Gladwin and Dr. Tattler have made an incredible book that will save you hours and hours of crying by trying to memorize your Micro. Full of beautiful mnemonics, wonderful facts and the only needed information. The only drawback is that parasitology isn't the way I expected or teached in my Country México. But everything is excellent, just buy it and stop reading reviews about Microbiology, THIS IS THE ONE.

I found it a valuable introduction to a new subject.

Our micro texts were Mims and Lange. This booked helped set the scene very well, and provided some helpful descriptive introductions to material that was quite dry in the texts. Read it before you hit the serious texts and you will have a much better roadmap to follow.

    Good Study Guide

I would recommend this 'study guide/book' to any student who needs to know the main nuts & bolts of antibiotics. The cartoons especially help in memorization for those who are visual learners. Silly pneumonics are also provided and quite helpful. Nevertheless, you should probably find a more 'scientfic' text book to go along with this text.
