I handled this cover in a Barnes and Noble store and it did not feel like high quality. It felt like B&N tried to channel the spirit of the "smart" covers available for another device which shall remain nameless in this review, but they did not succeed in capturing the full function of what a cover is supposed to be. There didn't seem to be anything that would actually hold the cover to the front of the Nook Glowlight, so it really just functions as a flap. A magnetic closure or even a strap would work to keep it closed when not in use. The method of clipping the cover the side also looks clunky and ruins the attractive effect of the Nook's rubberized edge. I was disappointed in this cover because B&N's previous covers have all been functional and attractive. I may have to purchase a cover or a sleeve from a 3rd party site, because it doesn't seem like B&N is offering any other covers for the Glowlight yet besides these Nook Flaps.

Well...I bought my Glowlight, easy enough. I wanted a reader only, this fits the bill and works wonderfully, although I am still upset my First Generation Nook gave up the ghost, as far as I'm concerned there will never be one that equals it. A cover was the hard part. I tried the one at the store...AWFUL. I want protection. I want to be able to put it in my purse and know it's safe. I want to leave it laying on my nightstand and know that the dogs knocking it down isn't going to bust it or their nails aren't going to accidently scratch the screen. I spent days looking online for a good solution to my case problem. I went to Best Buy, Staples, WalMart, KMart, everywhere I couple think of, The best I could find was a sleeve for it...not enough protection in my mind. Finally a solution, cheap , but will take a little craftiness on your part. Five Below has all kinds of cases for 7 inch tablets and ereader...for $5.00,none of which of course will hold our Glowlights in correctly. They also have "skin cases" for Nook Touches for $1.00. I cut out the elastic straps in the cover (one of those nice ones that look like a leather book), I superglued the skin into the case, and after it dried I slipped the Glowlight into the skin. Taaadaaaa!! A sturdy case for $6.00. They also had small easels for ipads for $5.00 if you like, like me, like to prop your nook up to read. Hope this helps and saves some of you the frustration I was experiencing!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This cheap cover doesn't attach (other than to the side of the Nook) when folded down and so does not protect the front surface.

Horrible. Unfortunately this is the only cover available for the Glowlight and I had to buy something because I usually carry it in my purse. WAY too expensive for the poor quality. I didn't buy the sleeve cover because I don't like having to "take it out" every time I want to read, but I don't like holding the nook with this cover on so I might have been better off if I had bought that instead.

STINKS!! No way to hold ecept by edges and you keep turning pages. Save your money.

Really a disappointment; my reader will have to go naked until I find something better; perhaps on Amazon...

This cover is worth $8 not the $22 I paid for it. Not much of a choice - it's the only one they had in the store. Of course there were dozens of selections for the HD tablets, but if all you want is a quality reader you apparently are not a valued customer and this is what they offered. Buy a less expensive product (although at $119 the Glow Light isn't cheap) and you get inferior quality covers available and almost no selection. Love my e reader but the next time it's due for replacement I'll go with the competitor - B&N doesn't seem interested in providing us with quality accessories.

I understand that new forms of the nook has come about through these samsung tablets, but accersories for the regular and old nooks should be made as well for people who still use regualr nooks and not tablets. That being said this cover is horrible and it sucks that its the only cover available for this nook. A new cover definately needs to be made for those who want more protection on their nook, I being one of them.

Bought the glowlight and read the reviews about the terrible covers. I already have a Nook simple touch and the new glowlight will fit in my simple touch cover. The clips go right over the rubber edge bumper. The salesperson was very surprised that they fit (he admitted that the new covers aren't great). The covers are on sale for $10 with a great selection.

Whiners whiners whiners! I cannot imagine what people are expecting - this cover does what it should. It COVERS the front of my nook reader so I won't scratch the front against other objects, I can slip it in my bag, I can set it in the car and not worry. It fits exactly as it should. It's a simple rubbery-feeling single "front cover." That's it. It clips on, it closes. It you want premium high end leather, expense, a pen holder, pockets, magnetic clasps, graphics, space for your laptop, built in latte bar, GPS, and 50 miles per gallon - or if you want to throw passes with your nook and have it stay closed and not get damaged, then look for something else. If you want a simple cover so you won't wreck the front of your reader, this is fine.

I purchased my Glowlight not long after they cam on the market and this cover flap. I have carired my glowlight constantly everywhere since then: purse, brief case, suitcase. The glowlight is so sturdy that it does not need a case. I did find that it was uncortable to hold when attached to the left side, so I clipped it to the right side and simply flap it over the screen for a bit of extra protection when stored. A heavier case would make the e-reader heavier and bulkier and cut down on it's ability to simply slip into my purse. I found I was even able to tuck it into my cargo pants pocket when I had to spend time visiting a relative in the hospital.

I actually think this cover is not so bad. I carry my Nook around with me in a fairly small handbag and other cover styles are often too large to fit. This is one cover which I can keep on the Nook at all times and it protects the touch screen from being accidentally touched while the Nook is being carried around. Other reviewers exaggerate imho.

I LIKE it. It cost me $10 and does exactly what I want it to. I take my Nook Glowlight everywhere with me. I can tuck it into my purse and know that the screen is protected from scratches and dents. The neoprene zip pouch can't protect it from pokes and dents.

I am waiting for a suitable cover before I purchase Glowlight. I currently own three older Nooks - an early tablet, a first generation e-reader and a first generation nook with glow. All are beginning to have too many quirks when reading. Honestly, if Barnes and Noble can't design a cover for the Glowlight, I may end up purchasing my first Kindle.

I was lucky I still had my cover from my old glow light. I used that cover and put a rubber band around each end of the glow light to hold it securely and it works great..

Really?... This thing is horrid! My old cover was getting ragged. Although I wasn't thrilled at this ONLY replacement option, I gave it a try. Even impolite words could not describe my level of dissatisfaction. So, I am back to using my raggedy old cover. Here's hoping that something viable is offered before it shreds completely.

disappointing case, doesn't provide the protection I wanted, so I ended up purchasing a case from a third-party vendor.

This is the first time I've ever reviewed a product, but I had to because it's so bad. Hopefully, B&N reads these and they make a better one. Only option, so I have to use it.
