Overview

As Kyota wished she were as sexy as was Vandy, Lieutenant General Venton waxed supremely hypocritical once again, while joking, posing, and preaching his way through a press conference. During such, he renewed his vow to get to the bottom of the murky circumstances that had led to the murders of the attorneys Hinton and Keller and the disappearances of their secretaries Askara and Olivia. Not long before he had paraded onto the stage and initiated the press conference, he had sent a couple of his henchmen to Bogart's Shangri-La to witness Askara and Olivia being terminated. One of them was a brute who appeared to be a hippie-biker. The other one was a dwarfish tough-guy. Nehoshi and Nardu welcomed them to their compound then ushered them to the lowest belowground level of Warehouse 2. Kicker, Debbi Sheridan, and Curtis waited in the half-light and chill of one of its smaller chambers with Askara and Olivia. Wearing jumpsuits of yellowish-orange, the poor women were kneeling on sheets of black plastic, facing a pair of hay bales. They sobbed and begged for their lives. Standing several paces behind them, Debbie and Curtis aimed semi-auto handcannons at their heads. Not surprisingly, they looked gloomy. Struggling to fight the impulse to cry, Nehoshi told Askara and Olivia how sorry she was that they needed to die. She then nodded toward Debbie and Curtis.
