Close Obsession is the second book in the Krinar Chronicles seri

Close Obsession is the second book in the Krinar Chronicles series and the story picks up right where Close Liaisons left off. In Close Obsession, Korum, a two-thousand year old alien that has come to earth with his people, the Krinar, and Mia, a twenty-one year old college student (who have had a tumultuous start to their relationship filled with misconceptions, betrayal, but plenty of passion) are traveling to the K Center in Lenkarda, Costa Rica.

Korum brings Mia to his home at the K Center and begins introducing her to his super cool advanced-alien technology. He is gentle and patient with her, and I think really goes out of his way to make sure she becomes comfortable in her new home. Korum and Mia find they still have some trust issues to deal with, and in doing so there is some delicious, angsty, passion-filled drama because of it! :) There is also an element of mystery and danger as an unknown enemy of Korum’s is plotting against the couple. We get to see Korum meeting Mia’s family and we get an inside look at the Krinar society and traditions, along with meeting some new and interesting characters that’ll hopefully be featured in future Chronicle books!

I think that Mia really grew in this book and I liked her so much better. She was so naïve and quick to judge Korum in the first book, but really comes a long way and begins to trust her feelings more and Korum.

Korum is incredible (I wish I had a super-hot alien just like him!!). He is super possessive/protective of Mia and they have such wonderful chemistry together. The sex is HOT as they explore new avenues of their passion together. Korum is still very mysterious and keeps some secrets held tightly to his chest, but they soon begin to unravel and book two comes to a very satisfying end but yet also sets us up for book three. Maybe we’ll get to visit Krina (Korum’s home planet) in the next book- *hint hint* :)

I find the world-building in this series quite fascinating and the romance between Korum and Mia is sweet, intense, emotional and smoking HOT! I’ve enjoyed every minute of their journey together and I really look forward to reading more from Ms. Zaires, and of course can’t wait for more of Korum and Mia too!!

Book 1 ended and I was completely...

    Nooooo...

What?!!! I have to know what happens next!

Mia what have you done?!! Korum what the hell did you do??!

Seriously, I LOVE this series and this book! Lenkarda, the Krinar colony, is absolutely fabulous! The banquet hall that dismantles itself, the dining hall with private spaces for dates or business, and OMG the houses are all so..... freaking cool! And there is so many other things that if I listed them all that's all I'd get to talk about. The bed in the book is so HOT!!! I want it! The way she shows us how evolved the Krinar really are compared to humans is brilliant!

I love the other side of Korum we get to see. It's so sexy and kinda heart warming. I can't say we see a softer side of him as Anna showcases his strength as he makes a bloody mess of someone. *shudders* That was kind of gross and awesome!

And what do with Mia? She is certainly growing in her sexuality and as a person. I don't want to give examples because I don't want to give too much away. But it's really wonderful!

Together their relationship is changing and growing deeper while they face new dangers. Book 2 is certainly naughtier then book 1. I didn't actually count to see which book has more sex scenes. But wow! In book 2 you get a mix of darker and loving sex scenes that to me feel a lot naughtier then those in book 1.

    Sexy series

I really like this whole series. Its diferent and sexy. My only complaint is how Mia refers to him as her lover constantly. "MY LOVER" "HER LOVER" I don't know why it bothered me so much, but it did. Other than that, great series.

    more from this reviewer

    Great Story

The second installment of The Krinar Chronicles does not disappoint. There is a surprising twist as Mia and Korum are betrayed by someone they both trust. Of course the tale is still heavy on the hot, and heady sex between Mia and Korum.

Anna Zaire's second installment in the Krinar Series is a great addition to the series. Korum and Mia continue to fall deeper in love and further their trust of one another. But ...in the shadows an evil K plots to destroy their love by taking Mia for his own and end Korum once and for all. This book had me gripping my chair with action, and curling my toes during love scenes. Anna brings passion and suspense to the page. I absolutely loved it!

This is a compelling story and to get the full understanding I recommend you read Close Liasons first. Anna Zaires is one of those kind of authors that grab your interest and you don't want to put the book down until it's finished. Then your dying to read the next novel. I highly recommend this series.

    Yes!

This is an outstanding continuation of this erotic, scifi romance. Even more intense and enthralling than the first book. The reader is pulled into the deepening relationship between mia and korum. Both mia and korum grapple with learning about what makes them what they are. Korum's costa rican home with all the high technical devices that make life better for all concerned is fascinating, but are also surrounded by nature's beauty. The plot is still full of surprises. My fists were actually clenched for most of the story. Even more erotic than the first book, but definitely not repetitious or boring! I agree; i want that bed!

This was a lot better than the first book. IMO. The leading characters finally learn to love and trust each other. I'm glad that I gave it a chance.

Ok first off if you haven't read Book 1 Close Liaisons pick it up and read it FIRST! Book 2 picks up right where 1 left off.. This book is even STEAMIER then the first I swear these two could set the bedroom on fire, they are smokin together... the chemistry between Korum & Mia is HOT!. The futuristic things in this series are just amazing, the smart pods they live in to the air crafts and cars they can build in nano-second it is all very cool.. Korum is a little high handed with Mia but it comes from the heart.. Very Alpha Male this Alien.. Even though they resolve some of there trust issues they still have trouble on the horizon.. Korum has an enemy that wants him dead and wants to steal Mia.. Looking forward to Book 3 can't wait to see how this all plays out. Again Anna Zaires has done an awesome job with her story telling and the attention to details is fantastic..

    Sexy Alien?

Hot and Smart to boot! How could a college junior become so entangled with a hot alien that runs her world now? He is beyond gorgeous, light years beyond Earth's technology and beyond sexy in the bedroom. And he is giving her the opportunity of a lifetime to learn about his race and the technology that holds Earth captive. How could she not?
