When You Don't Know What to Say, Give This Book to Grieving Adults

I read this book many years ago, and to this day I continue to rely on it when someone I know watches their beloved baby or child transcend their earthly family. When my faith pales, and I cannot utter comforting words, I give this book to grandparents and parents.

'CLOSER TO THE LIGHT' Brings comfort.

After the Death of my Son and Brother,3 months apart,,, I needed to find any kind of comfort and peace I could possibly find. I bought 'CLOSE TO THE LIGHT' and read it through 3 times. Not only did I get some relief from their passing,,, I have purchased 6 more books and gave to grieving family members and friends. This book of experiences of children, gives the truth into :LIFE AFTER DEATH: What a wonderful book. Thank you for all the reasearch into these stories.

A VISION OF HEAVEN & COMFORT AFTER THE DEATH OF A LOVED ONE

This book was recommended to me by a friend of my husband's after his very sudden death. To be able to catch a glimpse of what heaven is really like from those who have actually been there brought an inexpressible sense of joy at a time when I was absolutely devastated. In the 2-1/2 years since then, I've ordered nearly a dozen copies to give to friends who have experienced the loss of a spouse, parent or child and it has brought comfort to all. I'm ordering 5 more along with this review!

    Convencing, Compelling and Powerful

I'm a writer and working hypnotherapist, and as I struggled to make sense of my own "alternate" experiences and write my book, "Love From Both Sides," I read Melvin's Morse's wonderful "Closer to the Light." I read everthing I could find that could ground me in the "scientific" aspects of the other realms. If you are reading these reviews, you might be trying to make sense your own NDE, or the In Between, or the Unknown... or whatever you want to call it. So if you want a book that seeks to scientifically analyze and report on what was reported and observed from the "In Between," this is a great book to read. The writing is clear, and concise and the research convencing. I recommend this book highly.

    A compelling understanding of life-after-death

--Closer to the Light is an astonishing novel that introduces the experiences of life after death through the stories of young children. Near-Death Experiences are described as a spiritual journey that clinically dead people go through before miraculously returning to life. When young Katie survived from a serious drowning experience that was suppose to ultimately lead her to her death, Dr. Morse found that Katie was one of the many who had glimpse of life-after-death. After hearing the amazing story of Katie¿s Near-Death Experience, Morse couldn¿t help but to conduct further research about the phenomenon. As a result of listening to hundreds of children¿s stories, he found that the stories were very similar and found the few things that they all had in common. Most experiences consisted of leaving their body as a spirit, traveling through a tunnel or hall of light, meeting figures of light, and some visiting of previously dead relatives or friends. --Dr. Morse not only explains the ideas of Near-Death Experiences in a well and easy-to-understand manner, but also is open minded to each and every child¿s story, which gives the reader more insight about each experience. If you are searching for a scientific explanation as to why Near-Death Experiences occur or are very religious and do not believe in after-life, this may not be the story for you. However, most if not all people who read the book has found it to be enlightening and very comforting. Not only does this compelling book give faith of a better place, to the people who may be losing a special someone, but it also comforts the many of those who have already lost someone. Overall I think that this is a very insightful and uplifting novel that all who read it would enjoy.

The Best Clinical Book on Heaven I Have Ever Read!

I was given a copy of Raymond Moody's "Life After Life" and a copy of this book nearly 20 years ago. I was skeptical when I first started to read. By the end of "Closer to the Light", I KNEW what I was reading was true. My dad died January 4, 2004. The day he died, I heard his voice in my living room BEFORE I had learned he died. Since then, I have heard his voice at least 3 other times, and I have seen him. This experience has changed my life forever, and now I KNOW heaven is REAL and our loved ones are helping us from that realm every day, even if we are not aware they are!! Since I finally got over my initial fear of sharing my story about my dad, I have talked to maybe 2 dozen people with amazing stories about their loved ones. I know CONCRETELY that their is life after life, and it is GLORIOUS!!Another great, great book is "90 Minutes in Heaven" by Pastor Don Piper.

    Soul Contact Vitally Real

Multi-dimensional experiences are trying to tell us that we are more than the limited forms we see in this world. As I struggled to make sense of my own "alternate" experiences, I read Melvin's Morse's wonderful "Closer to the Light." I read everything I could find that could ground me in the "scientific" aspects of the other realms. If you are reading these reviews, you might be trying to make sense of your own NDE, or the In Between, or the Unknown... or whatever you want to call it. So if you want a book that seeks to scientifically analyze what was reported and observed from the "In Between," by children who died and came back, then this is a great book to read. The writing is clear, and concise and the research powerful and convincing. I recommend this book highly. Also, check out Stephanie Riseley's LOVE FROM BOTH SIDES for a very telling encounter between husband-and-wife after the husband died. We all do communicate from the soul!
