This book is the story of Aunt "Cloudy" Jewel and her niece Leslie and nephew Allison. The two show up from Calif. after parents death, and plead and pursuade their Aunt Cloudy to be their Mom and move into a home close to the college. Ellen Robinson Cloudy's sister does not like Leslie and Allison and she is against Cloudy moving. But they move, and through Cloudy's asking they go to church and join the Christian Endeavor. They were against God and thought he just was not worth their time. But they soon learned about God, held sundays in reverence and they became Christian Endeavors and changed their lives! Wonderful book , full of adventure.

    Mistakes in the print

I loved this story, but some of it was almost unreadable with all the type errors.

    cute story

Fun to read, I enjoyed rhe characters and saw some life lessons in the context. Plot wasn't a favorite. Some one will be captivated by the joyful story and will want to live at Cloudy Vila!

    Thought provoking

Although this book has typos on most pages, the story comes through. It made me consider what I believe about Sundays. The story entertains.

    Too many typos

A good story as all of her books are. But some pages were totally unreadable. Even if the book was free would not recommend it.

    Simple yet good

This book is a very simple book in the way of the story line. It shows any Christian how to live when raising and nurturing older teens. I did enjoy this one.

    A good read

This was a good book. It was written way back that that makes the time the book take place real. I recommend it.

    Cloudy Jewel

While this isn't the best of the Grace Livingston Hill books that I have read it is still worthy of reading. Grace had the ability to develop characters and story lines that are as fresh today as they were when she originally wrote them in the early 1900's. I'll a Grace Livingston Hill book any day!
