Overview

Clova's Favourite Lovers: Collection I includes:

Lady Aurelia's Adventure --
Mark Favell is content with his life as an officer and is well-travelled, but not of the gentry. Though he has his share of female companionship, he is quite uncomfortable with Society ladies.

Lady Aurelia Camberley, widowed daughter of the Earl of Melbury, is secretive, adventurous, passionate - and a member of Society.

When they meet, their lives change forever. Will desire lead to something more, or will their differences in station keep them apart?

Malvinia's Boudoir --
Malvina, Lady Heaton to society, was widowed and usually fairly content with her life. Her lover proved an ardent young man, but recently she felt a bit bored with his conversations. Then Mr. Matthew Bradshaw, a handsome tradesman and self-made man, pays her a visit to request a favour.

Their attraction proves instantaneous, but definitely unwise. Even after several meetings, Mr. Bradshaw seems unaware of how to proceed. Does Malvina dare to invite him into her boudoir?

A Modish Marriage --
Isabella Radcliffe, a gentlewoman of good birth but lacking a dowry, becomes a companion and a governess for Lady Fraser and her great niece at a Cornish estate. Other than dealing with the usual trials of such a post, Isabella is quite annoyed by Lady Fraser's cousin, Courtland Helton.

Admittedly handsome, Helton is a boastful flirt and a ne'er-do-well who enjoys near scandalous behaviour, cavorting with actresses and young belles of the ton in London when not dancing attendance on Lady Fraser.

Is it possible he has discovered Isabella's secret and could have her dismissed? Or will his own embarrassing situation lead the two into an agreement which will change their lives forever?

The Fashionable Flirt --
Pampered and flirtatious, Christabel Morney is of marriageable age and a trial to her doting father. At their house party in Scotland, she encounters the politically aspiring Darcy Brookfield.

Mr. Brookfield is immediately attracted to Christabel, but she seems to spend most of her time with a German baron, which is just as well as her father would never accept Darcy as a proper suitor.

Then a tenant's son goes missing and Christabel seeks Darcy's assistance to look for him. Will they solve the mystery or will their time together lead to other things?

Special Bonus: Roman Bride --
When the Romans occupied Britain, many Roman women were married to British noblemen in an effort to bring peace to the land. Flavia was such a bride. Ordered by her Emperor to wed Lord Peredur, she is unhappy with the union. Peredur does not seem overjoyed, either.

But an unforeseen attraction and their physical desires soon take over their lives. Just when they seem to be growing closer, Flavia notes Peredur's attentions to Lady Angharhad. Will Flavia be able to win the affections of her new husband?

Meet the Author

A full-time resident of London, Clova Leighton admits to being older than thirty-nine and less than fifty. She feels she is at a perfect age to embrace life. Historical Regencies and Romances, the Victorian Era, and works about the Roman Empire are her favourite periods about which to write and read. She also enjoys browsing through antique jewelry, swimming, flower arranging, or listening to music. Her own favourite authors are Georgette Heyer and Norah Lofts.

Her job in administration does not allow as much freedom as she would like for her writing or her hobbies, but Clova makes the most of her limited time. She says she could spend hours researching her novels and stories.
