Overview

In his latest adventure, Clovis Crawfish is ready for bed as the sun begins setting on the bayou and the Cigale-de-Bois brothers start warming up for their nightly concert. But as something yellow flutters overhead and lands on his mud house, Clovis realizes bed will have to wait. Clovis's surprise visitor introduces herself as Silvie Sulphur--a member of the butterfly family--and she is looking for a home. Clovis and his friends find her the perfect place and get her happily settled. Soon after, an unexpected storm sends everyone scurrying for cover. Clovis quickly realizes that Silvie is unaccounted for, but with his quick thinking, Silvie makes it home safe and sound. However, before they can celebrate, the friends must band together, this time to rebuild Clovis's melted mud home.
With enchanting characters, a fun song, and simple French phrases, the newest addition to the Clovis Crawfish series will once again delight readers, both old and new.
Mary Alice Fontenot was best known as the children's author on Cajun culture. She created the famous characters of Clovis and his friends more than thirty years ago. Her dedication to children and to her art earned her the 1998 Acadiana Arts Council Lifetime Achievement Award.
Julie Duprï Buckner received her B.F.A. in graphic design from Louisiana Tech University. She currently lives in Plaquemine, Louisiana, with her husband and three children.

After Clovis Crawfish and his Louisiana bayou friends welcome Silvie Sulphur, of the butterfly family, to their neighborhood and help her in a rainstorm, everyone pitches in to make a new mud house for Clovis.
