I haven't had a dog for many years, so I wanted to learn how to take care of my cockapoo and found this book. It is a simple book and a fast read but does give great information on caring for your dog. Explaining what a cockapoo is was a great way to begin to understand the history, genetics, physical characteristics and personality of my new friend. Grooming was a big concern for me and I fell like I can now groom my dog and not feel as though I'm paying off the national debt. The health and wellness section was extremely helpful and the behavior and obedience training section was informative easy with step by step instructions. My friend paid for a trainer and I believe I learned the same with much less money. Between the information the vet and feed stores gave me along checking out what the book tells me I believe I will be a suitable owner for my dog who is a terrific friend and companion for me.
