Overview

L.A. Guns' most consistent and effective album, Cocked & Loaded manages to balance the underlying darkness of Guns N' Roses' urban outlook with Moetley Cruee's party-anthem glam metal. The songwriting is among their best; "Never Enough" was successful on MTV, and "The Ballad of Jayne," a tribute to actress Jayne Mansfield, was a Top 40 hit. ~ Steve Huey
