All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Sweetness rules on Colbie Caillat's debut, Coco, which is perhaps only appropriate for an album bearing that name. The record doesn't play like a toasty mug of chocolate on a winter's day, though; it's a sugary lemonade on a breezy summer afternoon. It's light and comforting, a familiar blend of sunny pop and singer/songwriter tropes that flirt with cliché but never sound hackneyed -- a lighter, brighter spin on Norah Jones that sounds like an ideal soundtrack to a few hours in a cozy coffeehouse or a montage on Grey's Anatomy, whatever comes first. If that gives the impression that Caillat is a little calculated -- and if her music-biz heritage her dad ...

If that gives the impression that Caillat is a little calculated -- and if her music-biz heritage her dad co-produced Fleetwood Mac's Rumours and Tusk gives the sense that she may have had a silver spoon, and if her celebrated MySpace popularity is also initially suspect -- then as an album Coco shows no crassness or coldness: it flows easily and, yes, sweetly, filled with gently ingratiating melodies and delivered with warmth and a casual charisma that proves to be quite endearing by the end of the record. Caillat doesn't attempt anything approaching a major statement -- the album is filled with songs about love and life -- but that's her appeal: she sings about simple, everyday things in an unassuming manner, letting her melodies and girl-next-door charm carry the day, and they do so winningly on this nicely mellow debut.

    Great, Fun Music

I don't know what the "Insane" reviewer is talking about, but Colbie Caillat does not scream and cuss. (This person may have gotten Colbie mixed up with another singer.) Colbie's music is easy-going and fun and is great to listen to when you're feeling bubbly and cheerful. If you like light-hearted music, Colbie Caillat's albums are perfect for you.

    Great CD

This CD is great after a long days work on the tense drive home. She has such a breezy relaxed style to her music. I'm not normally a fan of female artists, but she is easy and enjoyable to listen too. Well worth purchasing!

    Love Her!

She has got to be one of my favorite artists ever! Colbie has a great voice and can actually right her own songs! All the songs are absolutely great, but heres my very favorite ones, "The Little Things", "Oxygen", "Tied Down", and "Bubbly". Her songs should top the charts!

    My "Feelings Show"

...for this cd. All I need is "Oxygen", "One Fine Wine", and this cd {plus - it can't hurt that she looks like Jennifer Aniston on the cover, which was why I initially bought it}. I "Realize" that Colbie has won the "Battle" to make "Tailor Made" music that is pure "Magic". I am a 44 yr old man with a wife and 3 daughters and this music makes me "Bubbly"! With this cd, it's "The Little Things" - like the intelligent, emotionally charged lyrics {"Oh baby, if I was your lady" from "Oxygen"/"Love is crazy pretty baby" from "Feelings Show"} and how all the songs sound alike, except some are fast and some are slow, thereby not confusing the listener with needless experimentation a la Amy Winehouse.

    warning: coco not for everyone

do you know how disappointing it is to find that bubbly is not a song about bubbles, but a girl in love or something, i dont even know what? it is very disappointing, my dear readers.dont worry, not all of coco is that saddening...or is it? all of the songs are simple and very similar. im sure some people enjoy that kind of music, and thats fine--im just saying if you like songs with fast beats that you can dance to, good luck trying to achieve that with coco. the fast forward button might help. and after hearing "bubbly" and "realize" over and over again on the radio, you get kinda a lot bored of colbie callait.
