The Cat That Can Hack:A Dog With A Blog Story

When Stan the dog that can blog finds out that his new family are getting a cat named Snickers, Stan thinks Snickers is evil! But why can't the two be friends....At first? "Stan! Come here! I need a pony!" a voice called. Stan turned around to see Clothe, one of his new family members. The dog trotted forward and sat near her. "What happened to the one I brought you? Did Avery or Tyler take it away?" Stan asked. "Mom! See! Stan can talk! I told you!" The mom and dad turned towards Stan. "Clothe, I told you that it is not okay to lie!" the dad shouted. Just then, there was a loud knock on the door. Stan rushed towards it to see Tyler and Avery. They were holding something creepy looking. Avery stepped in. "Stan, I want you to meet Snickerdoodles. She's a Sphynx cat. An Egyptian breed. They were worshiped there." Stan growled at the furless cat without a pelt. Snickers was set down. "I trust you to make friends with her, Stan," said Tyler. "I can't make friends with a cat! Why couldn't it be a Poodle?" Stan" asked. Snickers yawned. She batted at Stan's tail. The dog turned around. "Hey! That's my tail, cat!" Stan barked. Snickers stopped. "Tyler, the game starts today," Avery said. "I know." Stan growled at Snickers. He went over to his foodbowl. Snickers beat him to it. "Listen, dog. This is my house now. I can talk too. In fact, I was kicked out of my house for talking," Snickers said in an Egyptian-American accent. Stan tipped his head, relaxing only a bit. "This is Tyler and Avery and Clothe's house," Stan woofed. "It may be their house. But the television, computer, and any other thing an animal is interested in. Belongs. To. Me!" Snickerdoodles hissed. "I can't bow to a hairless feline," Stan joked. Snickers narrowed her eyes. "Sphynx cats are worshiped in Egypt, Stan." Stan bristled. "Oh, and the computer is mine, though. I have my own blog." Snickers jumped. Stan stared. This cat was the exact antonym of him. Snickers shuffled her front paws. She sat near the fireplace, yawning. "I guess I'll take a nap, Cujo," Snickers meowed, rolling on the couch. "I guess you will, Kitty Cat," Stan barked. "Night, Rover," Snickers meowed. The couch was warm. Stan looked at Snickers. She was sleeping peacefully. Stan slept in his dog bed near where the hairless female cat was sound asleep. Stan was asleep as well. Stan awoke at an alarm. A scream! Stan shot awake. "Snickers!" Snickers was sound asleep. "Snickers, wake up!" Stan howled. Snickerdoodles shot up, shaking. "What happened?" Snickers asked. "That sounds like Clothe!" Stan woofed. He ran off. Snickers jumped. She leaped through the room. She landed on the kitchen table. Stan dashed. The dog stood. It was just the yappy Pomeranian that Tyler's girlfriend had. "What's this doing here?" Snickers hissed. "I don't know. Tyler's girlfriend must be over." Snickers tipped her head. "Shut up, Pomeranian!" The female Sphynx looked at Stan. "I had to be Tyler's wingman. I know about this Pomeranian," Stan said. "Mom! Dad! Snickers can talk too!" a voice called. Clothe. "No. I can't. You are having an illusion," Snickerdoodles replied. "Mom!" Clothe called. "Clothe loves to talk," said Stan. To Be Continued…

    cute story

My 9 year old Paige enjoys reading but I was having difficulty finding a series that interested her. (I tried anything with faires, fantasy, etc...) She loves animals so I was very excited to find the Puppy Place series. She enjoys reading about their adventures & the friends they make along the way.
