Overview

British SIS [secret intelligence service] selects a man to carry out a sanctioned termination in Tenerife.
He leaves on the mission unaware of his true purpose.
He's really one part of a secret plot to uncover a spy deep within the London, Whitehall establishment.
The mission rapidly turns deadly.
He soon discovers the world of international espionage has placed him in a desperate situation and presented him with an impossible task.
Chinese, Russian and British agents hunt him while his only London contact does what she can to help.
Will his combat skills as an elite soldier be enough to keep him alive long enough to complete his mission and discover the truth or will time run out?

'How does one uncover a spy deep within the British political establishment?'
'That is a question.'
'Yes, isn't it?'
The silent pause drifted.
'Well, do you have the answer?'
'Yes, I do but first tell me this. What is more important than all other things?'
The silent pause returned.
'...intelligence?'
'No. More important than all other things is economic strength.'

    Really loved this book!

My husband and I love this series. We bought them all and are crazy about the very cool and adventurous characters. Love the pace and exotic locations.

    entertaining and fun read

Well paced action thriller. Some plot devices seem contrived but only for the really nerdy readers.

    NP...good reading

Worth reading but I did not like the ending; even if it made sense. Author could have imagined a better outcome.

Too "creative" with the story line

I was consistently distracted by the lack of skill and intelligence of most of the characters. Too frequently my thoughts would drift to "you've got to be kidding". I finally concluded that this should be submitted for a comedy film. With the right actors and screenplay it could be hilarious. As a book it offers nothing. Not funny. Not thrilling. Not particularly interesting. Simply has some pleasant characters that were likable.
