After reading Coffee Roasting At Home I'm inspired to cut out the middleman, save a few bucks per pound of whole beans, and start experimenting with various roasts, blends, and flavorings. Starbucks has taught us that coffee can be a gourmet art. Sanders and Sandbeck show us how we too can be gourmet artists. Besides offering us a how to book, the authors tell us about the history and geography of the coffee bean. Just as interesting are the vignettes, short stories with coffee as a sub-text, interspersed with the coffee roasting lessons.
