    A Wonderful Read

My sister sent me the book. When I received it, I began reading it and couldn't put it down. I read the book in 4 hours and what a delightful story it was. I felt as though I was right there with Vincent, listening just as avidly to Nonna as he did. She made me laugh and she made me reflect, all her stories had great meaning even if she just made them up. I recommend this book to everyone... not just Catholics. It will touch your heart and stay with you for a long time to come...

A nice trip down memory lane

I enjoyed this book, the stories he tells and the love he and his grandmother had between them. It makes you reflect on your own story and the people in your life who have made a difference.

Coffee with Nonna: The Best Stories of My Catholic Grandmother

This book really made me relive a lot of my past. The stories are great very thoughtfully done and imaginative. Nonna was a storyteller and her grandson a real inquisitve kid. Liked the lessons and laughter of the simplicity of the times. good book

    A life saver!

My mother is in a nursing home with dementia and weirnke's aphasia. She grew up in an Italian family during WWII in Hartford, CT. I bought the book to read to her, and I can't tell you how much we have enjoyed it together. The similarities in neighborhood, culture, and story telling delight her, not to mention the role of coffee! With her condition, religion and spirituality have been difficult to integrate into my mother's life. This book has helped me to bring that back to her. I grew up listening to her stories: fairy tales, mythology, and Bible stories. Now I can share the most important stories with her again, but with an Italian twist!

Coffee with Nonna: The Best Stories of My Catholic Grandmother

Great stories. Filled with love, respect and warmth. A book every Grandparent, parent and child should read. Each story was compelling and warm. I felt right at home with discriptions and story lines. One of the few precious books on the shelves today.
